Our daughter has been at Teeter Tots Montessori for a year now, and she is absolutely thriving. She has always been smart and independent, and Teeter Tots has nurtured those qualities while also teaching her how to play well with others, respect boundaries, and understand consequences. I highly recommend Teeter Tots to anyone looking for high quality (and, shockingly, affordable) child care.

TEETER TOTS IS AMAZING! My kids currently go there and they love it! There are many reasons our family loves this school.
1. The hours are realistic with today's working parents, 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.
2. The rates are very reasonable and actually cheaper than what I spent on a home daycare. They allow you to pay for the hours your kid actually spends at the school vs. a slot your kid fills up.
3. They POTTY TRAIN!! Enough said!
4. The teachers/owners have over 25 years teaching experience and it shows.
5. The kids get to learn Spanish along with reading, learning their letters, numbers, etc.
6. The kids participate in music/singing, art projects, history projects, enjoy many field trips, walk to the local library, and get to spend time outside every day (rain or shine).
7. I have no worries about my children when they are in the caring, nurturing environment provided by the school.
8. Proper social skills are also taught. My kids are very well behaved based on many of the philosophies used at the school.
If you are reading this, I would call and drop by the school. They welcome parents to sit and observe at any time.

Teeter Tots does what I wish I could do as a parent. They are so great with the students/kids. It is obvious the years of experience that come with this school. Not only do they have that, but they truly love and care for each child

The teachers truly care for the children in their school. My oldest son attended Teeter Tots for more than 2 years and my youngest has now attended for over a year. There are several reasons why I chose Teeter Tots and have continued with them.

Social skills/responsibility: The children are taught relaxation techniques and how to use their words. The teachers work on teaching the children self confidence. Each child must put away their toys or work projects before selecting a new one and clean up their own spills when needed.

Reading: Reading is a priority. Letter sounds are reviewed and books are read during story time. Volunteers come in each week to read to the children, the bookmobile comes by periodically and their is a library section where the kids can go to read if they choose.

Curriculum: The montessori style of teaching allows children to choose from a variety of work projects and move on at their own pace. They learn a variety of skills from these such as counting, sorting, how to hold a pencil, etc. They also learn how to write their letters and numbers. Spanish is taught once a week. During circle time, they go over the day on the calendar, are exposed to letter sounds and themed science concepts such as marine animals, the solar system and how plants grow.

Music: Music is a regular part of story time. Judy plays the guitar and sings and also uses music cd's both for dancing and entertaining the children and also as a learning tool. My 3 year old went around singing about the family of the sun (planets) for weeks when they studied the solar system this year.

Art/cooking/projects: The children do a variety of art projects using crayons, paint, glue, scissors, pencils, paper mache, etc. One year, my older son sewed me a small pillow for mother's day. Each year they make stone soup which is actually made with vegetables brought, cleaned and chopped by the children. One year, each child picked an apple from the tree and over the next few days, they helped make apple sauce and apple pie.

Outdoor play: The children go out every day rain or shine (sometimes more than once for those that are there all day). The children have a wide variety of equipment and activities to keep them busy and active including climbing equipment, slides, swings, teeter tots, sand box, hanging pots & pans to bang on, hula hoops, etc. In the summer, there are water toys like a water slide and a water table with floating toys and cups to pour with.

Field trips: They frequently go on walking field trips to nearby parks or the weekly storytime at the library. A few times a year, they recruit chaperones/drivers and go on longer excursions such as going to a pumpkin farm in the fall, the aquarium, the reptile zoo, the beach, the kangaroo farm, a fire station, etc. If possible, they like to time them with the current theme such as fire safety when they go to the fire station (annually) or marine animals when they go to the aquarium.

My daughter attended Teeter Tots for 2 1/2 yrs. During that time she learned to write her name and recognize words and began to read.
We were very pleased with Teeter Tots Montessori.
Judy is very compassionate about her kids that attend her school I know that she follows many into their graduation and is very proud of those that have attended her school.
They work on helping children get ready for elementry school, and also helps children become more social..
It's a home like setting that accommodate to your needs.

Teeter Tots Montessori is a great school. My 2 boys attended for more than 3 year apiece, 5 days a week. They are well adjusted energetic and happy kids. We care as much for the teachers as they do for our kids. Every one, adult and child is treated with respect, taught what it is to be respectful. I would not have my boys attend anywhere else. Teeter Tots has many learning activities and taught me a ton on how to be a better parent too. I am so happy with Teeter Tots.

They support the unemployed, dr*g add ict parent and are rude and disrespectful to the working parent. They forget that their purpose is to provide care for WORKING parents. They don??t care about your child; they only care about the money. if you are being subsidized by DSHS they DEMAND that your child attend every single day so they can get the most money. The place is dirty and often times the children are running outside in their underwear. They will write nasty letters to the court against the working parent and favored the unemployed dr*g add ict parent because they have the time to volunteer at the school and help drive your children to outings without checking to see if they have insurance, free of dr*gs or do a background check.

Great daycare/pre-school in home like setting. Reasonable rates. Providers/teachers are caring and like to stay in touch with students and hear of their successes as they continue with their educations.
