A professional service that really cares

by Justin C.

I have never been overcharged or over sold by Autologic. The service technicians undergo constant continuing education and are current on the best and most efficient methods of providing service at the lowest cost. This is a family business and they consider their customers part of the family. I was in their office once when I heard the owner suggest to a potential customer that they would be better off going to the dealer for their specific problem who else would do that?
I rarely endorse anything without qualification, but I whole heartedly recommend Autologic without reservation for any auto repair you may need.

If you need any more convincing, I suggest you call the owner with your specific question and see if you arent impressed with the answer. He puts Car Talk to shame.

No better auto repair available

by Jim C.

I absolutely agree with Richard J and Jennifer B. My first contact with Autologic was years ago when a competing auto repair shop finally admitted they couldn't solve my problem and recommended I take my car to Autologic. From that very first contact, I have been impressed with the care with which they communicated everything to me, explaining every detail of the estimate -- I have had NO nasty surprises in my dealings with them! They are not the cheapest in town, but they absolutely stand behind their work.

I have also been impressed with how willing they are to work with me. I have a couple of older vehicles that I only occasionally drive -- they understand that and are quite happy to help keep them running safely without doing everything could be done to bring them into good shape! They have even helped me find some used parts to save a few bucks!

In short, I give Autologic my absolutely highest recommendation.

Long-Time Happy Camper

by Richard J.

I have been going to Autologic for as long as they have been in business. No, they won't give you a phone diagnosis, nor will your doctor, lawyer, or tax accountant, either. They will however, go over and beyond in every instance to make sure you understand and are treated fairly. Are they cheaper than the dealer? Sometimes, not always. For things like major services, yes, absolutely, for one off repairs, maybe not. Their relationships with parts suppliers and rebuilders are based on their extensive experience, and I have never been disappointed. And with 4 Master ASE mechanics on staff, you aren't dealing with kids. They have no interest in delivering anything less than 100% satisfaction, but they are a business, and have to make a living as well.

One Customer's Experience

by Richard S.

I went to Autologic because I thought they would be less expensive than Barrier Motors. In my limited experience, they were not. For example, the glass came out of the driver's door on my Volvo. Autologic charged 159.00 to take the door panel off and give me an estimte for repair. Barrier Motors' charge for the same service was $118.00. When I asked Autologic what their rate was for shop time I was told it varies. I ended up taking the car to Barrier Motors for repair and the total bill was about $625 as compared to a little over $700 per the Autologic charge and estimate. I have no reason to doubt Autologic's skills, but in terms of price I will go to the dealer in the future.

Honest, Friendly and Thoughtful

by Jennifer B.

I have been taking my car to Autologic for about three years now and have alway gotten and honest estimate. There are always right on and if something happens to come up that would push the amount over the estimated price they always call to see what you would like to do with no pressure. I have alway been treated fairly and they have always gone out of their way everytime with explaining anything I don't understand and taking good care of my car. I recommend them to everyone and will only take my car here.

Thorough and Thoughtful

by Jake L.

For as long as I have been taking my Volvo to Auto Logic I have been impressed by their thoroughness. I always feel that they give me an accurate idea of the overall condition of my car, so I can decide what to do. I have never felt pressured, or been surprised by a final bill that was out of line with their estimate

Dishonest, won't go again.

by P L.

I was told starter on my beetle needs to be replaced and they quote me 440$.

To my understanding, "replace" means to replace the thing with another in whole. Then I asked to give me back the "replaced" old starter. Guess what? Told me "It's phisically in your car! You can't see it!" And they said they "replaced" some parts of the starter. Should it be called a "fix" instead of "Replace"? And a fix with several components of starter took me 440$??? Even told me no one asked for the replaced parts in the past 7 years, guys, do you believe that???

Response from this business:

Sad to have our honestly questioned replied on 06/02/08
We had the starter for this vehicle completely re manufactured by a high quality local electrical component re builder. This is the only reason that we could not show the customer his old starter. The customer asked to see the parts on the next day and the re builder had already tossed them into the recycling bin with the other 1,000's of replaced parts from other starters and alternators. Our estimate for this repair was $392.64 + tax, not $440. It was clearly stated on the repair order that the starter was re manufactured and re installed. The same repair at the dealership would have been in the range of $466 + tax. We feel that the local re builder provides a higher quality product than one "off the shelf". Our warranty is also double the dealerships' for time and mileage. The car was towed in dead and now starts and runs - it would appear that the re manufactured starter took care of the customers' complaint. We also gave the customer a complimentary oil change at the same time. Why did this seem dishonest? Sincerely, Frank Spicer

estimation was higher than dealer's

by rex g.

I went to autologic for an estimate for replacing my camry's mirror with a genuine part and they quoted 416 after a 10% microsoft discount. I went to toyota dealer and I got it replaced for 380 labor and parts included. They were quoting 50 dollars more for the part and then added a couple of other components to charge and then gave me a 10% discount to bring the total down to 416 which was still more than dealer's by $36 and I was always thinking that dealers rip you off your money

Response from this business:

Wow, flamed for an estimate replied on 06/02/08
We always try our best to estimate each repair accurately. We are human and may make an error occasionally. Does this make us a rip-off? An honest mistake can happen any time to any shop. The person requesting the estimate could have said " you are more expensive than the dealer - why?" We could have then discussed the estimate and discovered our error in the mirror cost. Sincerely, Frank Spicer

Up-front and Honest

by Christina C.

I have gotten my oil changed and bought tires through Autologic. I am very skeptical of auto repair shops in general because in the past I have felt treated very unfairly because I do not know much about cars. But Autologic went out of their way to explain things to me so that I could understand them, this takes a lot of caring about your customers and shows me that they are a very honest company. I feel that Autologic did a fabulous job on my car and I am now a loyal customer! Thank You!
