Wow, after reading the other reviews of this place, I can see I'm not the only one who's angry and the lack of management. (I'm suspecting they don't even HAVE a manager...) Half the time no one even answers the phone when I call. This is definitly the WORST place I've ever lived. When I moved in a couple years ago the cabinets were trashed and in some places even missing shelves, there were places on the walls where it looked like someone had written on them and they just threw a thin coat of paint over it, the ""storage area"" was wet and moldy and the doorknob didn't even work, nor did the door close properly, the bathtub enamal was chipping, the cabint under the bathroom sink had a HUGE chunk missing, the kitchen floor was damaged and torn up... the gym is sadly lacking, the hot tub never works and for some reason I have yet to figure out they couldn't ever seem to work around MY schedule when they have there ""inspections."" The ""landscapers"" are out there either on Saturday or Sunday around 7:30am or 8:00am with weedwhackers going. (throwing grass and leaves all over my car and in some cases even hitting it while they are weedeating. Every time I try to tell them to be careful they don't understand a word I'm saying and just keep doing what they're doing.) And when they are tidying up the grounds, it's just the parts you can see. If you lived in the middle away from potential renters eyes like I did, you get stuck with leaves and pine needles that build up and eventually clog your drain by the steps, leaving you walking up to the door in inches of rain water.) Not to mention all the vehical break-ins I've seen since I've been there. there were MANY. Then after I moved out, the office had the AUDACITY to send me a BILL that was, lets just say ""significantly larger"" than my security deposit for all the things they had to replace! Really!? Because it doesn't look to me like ANYTHING was replaced when I moved in... I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

Pros: Near the mall

Cons: poor management, subpar apartments and facilities

After reading the review above, I have to agree. I also had a hard time with the management. They were never there, and the manager would always want to argue your points. Oddly, the point the manager was most concerned with was whether or not you signed in to use the pool.\r\n\r\nHot tub never works, work out room TV is broken, and they wont fix it, pool is dirty, they have their landscape team working on Saturdays around 8am.\r\n\r\nThe worst part of my experience was the management. They all think they are working at a Fortune 500 company and always seem ""too busy"" to help (when they are there, that is). I challenge anyone to call Alderwood Heights and request to speak with the manager. Guarantee that the manager will be ""out"" at the time.\r\n\r\nPlease think twice before renting here.

I've lived in 5 apartments in my life (Alderwood Heights being my last). All apartments have their downsides, but most are reasonable in how they treat their tenants. I recently was married, and we moved to Alderwood Heights as our first apartment together. We lived there for 18 months, never painted the walls, never had parties, never did ANYTHING that changed the basic look of the apartment. We cleaned every Sunday, and treated the apartment as if it was our home.\r\n\r\nUpon move out, Alderwood Heights stuck us with a total bill of $650.00. Fees included professional carpet cleaning, repainting all the walls, replacement of the guest room door (the guest room was used a handful of times during our residence), they deemed all the stove top ranges as unacceptable and needing replacement, they deemed all the blinds as unacceptable, and needing replacement. They kept the $150.00 security deposit, but wouldn't clarify to me where the money actually was going.\r\n\r\nThe part I have the most issues with is the repainting of walls. They deemed ""cooking"" as above and beyond normal wear and tear. They said that the walls had dust on it, and simply cleaning them was not an option, they decided to completely repaint the entire apartment, at my cost! \r\n\r\nJust PLEASE be aware that when you live in Alderwood Heights, they will act like they go above and beyond to help you, when you move out on the other hand, they will take you for everything your worth. \r\n\r\nI highly recommend the apartments across the street, or anywhere else in Lynnwood if your deciding to move there.\r\n\r\nP.S. during the 18 months I lived there, my rent increased 2 times, and the hot tub NEVER worked. They were always ""Waiting for parts"".
