I have never attended this church, but had the misfortune of running into the pastor and his wife (at the time, I didn't know who they were) at a business on Sunday. I commented on their bumper sticker and she gave me a tract from their church. I accepted it. I am a Seventh-Day Adventist. Members follow the Bible teachings and extend God's love. I am firm in my belief in the Bible and the Ten Commandments. This Good News church is anything but -- it's bad news. The pastor and his wife tag-teamed me in the lobby of the business (she eventually let him take over) and said that the Ten Commandments were done away with when Jesus was crucified. I've heard of religions that believe this. I respectfully disagreed. He pointed out that once you repent and give your life to Jesus, you are saved no matter what you do, that sin does not separate you from God, and He loves us so much he will give us eternal life because of the death of His son. Sin DOES separate us from God. The Ten Commandments ARE mentioned in the New Testament. The Jewish sacrificial law was done away with, NOT the Ten Commandments. When we sin, we are apart from God. The pastor used the analogy of adultery -- if during the process of committing adultery, he had a heart attack and died, he would still go to heaven -- he just would not receive as many rewards. WOW! This man is NOT a pastor, nor does he behave like one. He was rude, boorish, bullying, talked me down, bashes other Christian religions, and handed me an anti-Adventist printout from the Internet (he must believe everything he reads there). He probably treats his wife the same way, but calls it Biblical. He needs to read and study the Bible before he considers women wearing pants and short hair to be sinful, calling it cross-dressing, a (yes, really! it's on their website: www.gnmc.us). He is not a Christian but a disgraceful human being.

Back as a young child my parents were looking for a church to attend to. Now, this was before they moved down to Milwaukee, and we were staying with a nice family for a while.
There was this old lady who was getting brain surgery for some Illness I don't recall. Because they shaved part of her hair off, she wasn't allowed to pray our loud with the church because "god" would ignore them.
We stopped attending shortly after that.

In recent I've learned that a girl who's attended the church all her life, legally an adult attempted to leave her house with her suitcase to work. Intending not to go home or back to the church after her shift.
About 6 or more people from the church and her parents came to her work with a van and demanded that the owner of the store bring her to them because she was "mentally ill".
Thankfully the Police were called and the mob was forced to leave.
But I can personally only assume they were going to lock her in her room to prevent her from leaving.

I have no foul words to say against the pastor's personally, I haven't seen them in many years.
But the way they teach things manipulated by what they believe is right is simply not justified.

1. People's statements about the cultic tendencies of this church is not persecution.
2. These are not evil sayings, nor are they false.
3. Perhaps you might be insulted by these statements, but those of us who have made these assertions felt it our duty to warn others about you. You may very well have a correct gospel, but you have little to no grace extended to believers, and you are under the Old Testament Law when it comes to the kingdom. You have a list of correct and incorrect actions which defines your walk with God, rather than having a relationship with Him.

This church is harmful, engages in brainwashing, mandates that people separate from loved ones, micromanages time, and requires that people ask for "advice" (permission) from the pastors when making weighty decisions. If they do not receive permission, they are rebuked harshly until they get back in line with whatever the pastors want.

Listen to the gospel preached, but stay far away from here after that. This is spiritual abuse, and God is going to have a harsh rebuke for both pastors when/if they get to heaven.

This church will tear your family apart! Stay away!
CULT.
unless of course you believe that women should be subservient to men, and children should be seen and not heard, and the list could go on and on

as close to a cult as you can get without actually being a cult.

Pastor is VERY controlling, illogical, and inconsiderate.

VERY divisive Pastor. After reading an article I came across on there website I emailed them an encouraging comment for their ministry. After that I got an email from their Pastor condemning me because I attend a Reformed Baptist Church. He told me I'm not saved & ALL Christians who attend Catholic,Reformed,Lutheran and denominational churches are lost and not saved. Even if they believe in the Gospel.
Romans 1:16

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for EVERY ONE WHO BELIEVES, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

Apparently only Christians who follow his specific teaching are eligible for salvation. :(

They teach a false gospel that redefines being born of God and denies the necessity of a inward change by His Spirit regenerating and sanctifying them. In other words they teach easy believism where you simply put your faith in a historic event and gain eternal security without having to repent of your sin and make Christ your Lord. They also not only condone adultery as defined by Jesus Christ, but also actively promote and encourage it:

Luke 16:18 "Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery.?
