Spirit Of 76 Veterinary Clinic

I just wanted to warn others that some of the people here are truly horrible and uncaring, and cannot be trusted with your pet's fragile life. I wouldn't even bring my remaining animals here if it was the last place on the planet and it was free. Spare yourself the heartache and find another vet.

I had my dogs/cat with Spirit of 76 since 1986 until I moved in 2009. They have gone though several of my pets with me. They were wonderful with all of them. They are so caring and make your pets feel like they are part of the family. I wish I could have found a vet clinic just like Spirit of 76 where I moved. They always filled me in on things when one of my pets were ill or needed surgery. They went the extra mile and I will never forget them for doing that. Dr. Semandal and his team are wonderful people. I just had to put my 15 yr old (thanks to the care of Spirit of 76 he lived that long) Daushound to sleep where I live now and the clinic here was no where near as caring or sympathic as Dr Troy and his team are. I felt bad for my dog Frank because he had to go somewhere else. I would recommend Spirit of 76 with the highest of honors as a vet clinic to anyone who feels their pet is part of their family and wants the best care.

They quoted a price of $15 to euthanize my daughter's sick hamster and then charged $40 once we got there!! For a hamster!
Crooks & thieves. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I will make sure my many pet owning friends hear about this.

I brought my dog in for a check up since his bowel movements weren't looking too good. I called to make an appointment expecting to get in days later. This would have been sad considering I was up all hours of the night letting my dog pee out the wrong end. But no, they got me in that evening when I thought vets were typically closed. When I walked in, a gal named Kristin became friends with my dog as if he was her own. Usually my dog is on the offensive, but he cuddled her like I have never seen him do to a stranger. She was so incredibly friendly and it made our visit so comfortable. Dr. Devon came in, and actually sat on the floor with my doggie. Most other vets try to get my 100 pound dog on the table- total disaster. Dr. Devon was detailed and knowledgeable. By the end of the visit, I couldn't believe it; after buying all the meds for heartworm, tick/flea meds, and some anal gland antibiotics, my visit did not damage my wallet. I must recommend this vet to everyone in the Stallis area. I have been to all others in the neighborhood, and I am more than satisfied with The Spirit of 76!!!!

I had an appointment scheduled for this past Monday at 4:45 with my dog Thor. I called a little earlier and someone told me I could come in at 4:30 and that would be fine. I arrived at 4:25 and was told to sign in. Much to my disappointment, I was not even given any type of service or recognition that we were even there after I signed in. There were three to four other clientele who walked right in without having to sign in and were serviced immediately. It was past 5 when I decided I have had enough and walked out. I am hoping this is not the type of service that is practiced regularly. I understand this is a busy clinic and things come up. However, I would think that it is not too much to ask to have someone acknowledge you and be able to service you in a timely manner. I was a second time visitor to your clinic and highly doubt I will be coming back and that is unfortunate since your clinic is close to our house.

We have gone to many vets over the years.None can compare to this one.The staff is excellent and Dr.Semandel is outstanding.He will always make time for you,no matter how busy he is.His prices are fair and the care they give the animals is phenomenal-just ask our dogs Maizy.Sammy and Lucy!

This is an excellent pet clinic and worth the drive. The staff really seems to like pets. Time is spent going over details of exam and care. If an at home procedure is needed, the doctor will make sure you know how to perform the task. In addition to quality care..there is the sensitivity that everyone is not made of money. Therefore effort is made to offer affordable services and medications. Simply the BEST!
