They should have class punch card/passes. Should NOT make people pay 1-2 years in advance. Takes the enjoyment out of the club and overcrowds it. They are strange about the pool. Shouldn't turn on water park when water classes are in

I like the Princeton club, but am disappointed that they are pushing Body by Vi which is a multi-level marketing product made with Soy. I don't think a business should be pushing products like this at their clients!

I have been going to the Princeton Club for a few months now. I go right after work, around 5:30-6 and stay until 6:30-7 during the week and there are always plenty of machines open. Their classes are all included in the monthly price with plenty of classes available all throughout the day. They will extend your membership if you get hurt and can't work out or if you have a baby. I think it was a matter of people not checking into their policy before signing up to a long term agreement. As a side note, you don't have to sign up for a two year contract.
As far as the front desk staff I have never walked in there without a hello. They have been extremely helpful and friendly. However, if they didn't say hello or smile at me, I am not going to take it personally. I am there to work out not to exchange pleasantries.
The director of the facility introduced herself to me and told me that if I had any questions or concerns to feel free and visit her....and no I don't look like anyone special. She took the time to answer a few of my questions and again offered her assistance.
The one thing I am less than satisfied with is the swimming area. I feel this part of the club could be run better. My son takes swimming lessons and on days he doesn't have lessons he likes to practice in the lap pool. Unless I am there, they will kick him out if an adult wants to use it. It also seems as if the slide is never open when the hours indicate it should be. However, he does take swimming lessons there and he has progressed quickly and loves it.

I was a member when it was motion. At least then they acted like they cared. The ladies at the front desk selectively say hi and good bye to members. They will literally look at you and then look away. One of the ladies made a sarcastic comment to me when I checked in about the fact that I only went to the club once that month, I then uncomfortably explained I have been really busy at work. Just rude. It's pretty pricey members who do not have children should be charged less!!! The classes appear nice on the monthly schedule, however they are packed and the instructors do not make them welcoming the first few times you attend. The trainers only associate with the people who pay for training sessions. I am a teacher and in the summer I am able to go on a regular basis. I saw the same few trainers on almost a daily basis, not once did any of them ask me how things were. Overall not worth the price!!!

Reading some of the reviews makes me realize some people are just plain ignorant. The club is great, the classes great (tennis, swim, etc), kids are not running amuck, and despite a poster being dumb/incorrect, they are not allowed in the hot tub or the resistance pool to splash people who pay.... blah blah blah. I pay a family membership, but never take my kids except to lessons. I pay more for a family membership. I also was bright enough to ask, when I purchased a two year package (as you get significant savings) if something happens, can I get a refund. I was told no. So if you get transferred or or injured or lazy, guess what, you're not getting your $ back! My guess is that they developed this policy due to people abusing the system, trying to get their $ back when they just decided they didn't want to go to the gym anymore. This ruins it for the good honest people, but it is what it is, they do not hide it, and if you got stuck paying a few extra months, too bad. For classes and lessons, they have been very flexible with timing, makeups, etc. The facilities are top notch, and the staff pleasant. I haven't had any problems with overcrowding, and the leagues we have done in the past have been fun and well run. As far as a kid having obvious "tapeworm" on their chest, as one lady states... that is idiotic. Tapeworms are in your colon, so unless she was looking in the toilet?!? Maybe, in her defense, she meant ringworm... but as a physician (MD) I will tell you that someone that does not know the difference between rectal parasites and a common fungal skin infection shouldn't be diagnosing anyone... it easily could have been eczema, psoriasis, a viral xanthem, pityriasis, molluscum, etc. All of these, unless you are sharing their towel, are not something you are going to get by swimming next to them. so, overall, you get what you pay for. the club is a little pricey, but well worth it. if you hate children, plan on bailing out of your membership, or have issues with the charges with or without kids, cancellation policies, etc... go somewhere else, please! I'll stick with Motion turned Princeton Club!

It's been said here many times before, but I'll say it again. Great equipment, terrible management. I visited Princeton Club three times per week for nearly 4 years, always paying the entire year in advance. I have never liked the trainers there and the classes weren't challenging.

Finally, I got transferred as part of a new job and needed to cancel the last three months of my membership, and Mike Kuglich informed me that there was no way to refund my money. In short, they are keeping the remaining three months of dues. I WOULD NOT recommend Princeton Club to anyone.

We went to find out about membership at the New Berlin Princeton club, but when the girl told us that the membership was for 24 months, and could not be cancelled, I wavered on the decision to join. As soon as she realized that, she started to be mean, and bossy, and tried to imply that she had given us the tour only because we had said that we wanted to join. She was mean and she didn't offer us the trial membership that we were eligible for. After reading all the reviews, I'm glad we didn't sign up and walked out.

I went through 2 memberships with them. the second year I had a family tragedy that kept me from coming in. They do not care that you are not there as long as they have your money. After membership they still send me updates. I guess they don't know who is a member or not. As a single person I should have a reduced rate. I don't have kids that take up resources. Why should I pay for others with families at the same rate. They let the kids use the resistance pool without hesitation even when a full paying adult is trying to work in there. The kids splash, kick and no one says anything. I even pointed out a kid with a visible tape worm on his stomach, and the management did nothing to restrict him from use of the pools. Not impressed with management tatics

The Tennis Department is very nice and I highly recommend it. However, the Aquatic Department is not very friendly to children who want to use the lap pool as they go by certain unwritten rools like when adults want to use the lap pool, children need to leave Overall, facilities are clean. Discrepancy of prices, though. The one in New Berlin (=$44/month) is more expensive than the one in Madison (=$36/month)...

I have been a member for a little over a year and have been consistently going for the last 10 months. The front desk staff are always going out of their way to greet you and answer any questions. The instructors are awesome and I love the variety of classes. My 2 children go to the kids club and I'm always impressed with how professional and enthusiastic the staff are- especially after working with so many kids all day! The facility is great, offering plenty of cardio machines and strengthening equipment. My husband and I got hooked on the Impact class and lost >25# each! Unfortunately, the instructor is no longer there and there are 2 less classes offered. My only complaint is that they would add more Impact classes!

I cannot even tell you all the problems I've had with the management at this club. The club is a nice facility if all you need to do is go an use it. But be sure you don't need to put your membership on hold due to any tragedies or health issues because they just do not care! All they want is to get their money out of you and they will certainly use the high pressure sales tactics to do it! Buyer beware here!!!!!

I joined this club a little over a year ago now and although I really liked the facility itself, the Management staff is not helpful or tactful. About one month after I joined the club, my father had a major stroke and I became his main caregiver leaving me with no extra time what so ever to use the club. When contacting the club to see if I could put my membership on hold and restart it when my father got better, I was told too bad, it's not our policy to put people on hold without a doctors notification. Since it was my father that had the medical condition and not me it was impossible to do this.

My year is now up and because of this situation, I have only been able to attend the club 10x's. Considering the amount of money I paid and the amount I was able to use this club, I have now basically paid, $85 per workout session....way to much for me and there are way to many clubs that are willing to assist in situations such as this to deal with scoundrals like this! If you want a to work with people care rather than those that want to take your money and run, check out Bally's, The Y or even Curves!

I love it! It's in the perfect location for most people living in New Berlin, even with in running distance if you want to get in an extra work out on your way there! I love all of the classes and that you don't have to pay extra for them like at most other gyms! The impact class is amazing, the instructor makes it fun and the time just flies by! I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I would NEVER recommend this club to anyone, nice facility yes, but unless you look rich do the staff acknowledge you coming in or leaving...way overpriced and people who don't have kids should get a better rate so they are contributing to the "free child care" that they can't use! All they care about is your money, not well being, or how you're doing...if they did they would have responded to my attempts to contact them with a questions I had a member! Some of the classes get way overpacked and they do nothing about it. Also, if a class is crowded, then the class should be limited to adults 18 and older and members only NOT instructors or trainers...in my mind the only staff that should be taken a class if it looks to full is the one teaching it! Princeton Club SUCKS!

The class instructors are GREAT! Many classes to choose from. Tons of treadmills, elipticals, bikes. There's always open equipment to use. The club is clean, clean, clean. With such high ceilings it feels very open and not crowded.

This is one of the best fitness clubs in the area. This facility is considerably more than a gym. The indoor and outdoor tennis is exceptional. There could be more racquetball courts, but the indoor golf facility is nice to have. The only thing I was somewhat disappointed in was the quality of the indoor track. Being someone that works long hours the 24x7 hours is appreciated. I would consider this facility as exceptional for families and good for singles just looking for a gym.

I used to be a member of Motion Fitness and Racquet Club and Princeton Club when it was bought. Although the club itself is nice, management is terrible. If you check the BBB for complaints you will see that Princeton Club has a history of questionable sales practices. I left the club when my contract expired and don't miss it a bit.

This is the cleanest health club I've ever been in. They work hard to keep it appealing and fun. The rates are competitive with other clubs in the area. (Especially now that they offer FREE child care while you work out!) I especially love the swim suit spinner and the fact that they have towels for member use. When you' re on the go, it's good to not have all that wet stuff sitting in your car all day long after a workout or swim class. Great place!

My husband has been a member of Princeton Club (Formerly Motion Fitness and Racquet Club) for several years. He plays tennis there year round and loves it. He is the only member in our family, however, they have family days on the weekends when the kids and I can use the facilities too at no extra charge. My kids love the pool--it is like a little waterpark with slides, water squirters and sprinklers. The water is always warm and in the main pool the water starts out a zero depth and goes to about 3 feet--perfect for younger kids who are learning to swim. They also have a lap pool, a pool you can swim in which has resistance (can also be used as a mini lazy river) and a spa tub which can also accommodate people in wheelchairs. Of course the club has all of the latest work out equipment and more. Definitely worth looking into!

This place is fantastic!! The people here are so nice and helpful. The joining fee can be a lot but if you catch them having one of their deals it's an awesome price. The place has a lot of room and so much light coming in, you don't feel so cramped together when your working out. The pool is really nice , great for kids too. The Nursury is great if you have kids and they even have a kids gym. It's a great place for a family to join, but it is also a great place for others to join too. There is just so much great stuff about this place. Go there and get a free tour and see what I am talking about.
