I know this kennel and its owner personally and as a dog breeder I recommend them to my clients who are in need of boarding their dogs or cats. A lovely setting in a quiet natural area Forest Ridge offers walks in the natural settings and playtime. Kennels are kept clean. Kitties also get to come out into an inclosed safe room for exercise. Prices are comparable to other facilities in the area.

My grooming business recently rented space at Forest Ridge while we underwent some remodeling. I got an insider's look at what really went on while the pet owners were away, and it was everything I could hope it would be. I would keep my own dogs there in a flash (if Mom wasn't so willing to keep them) and I have kept a special needs cat there. Kennels are kept clean, the dogs get the extra walks and playtimes that the owners paid a little extra for and weren't shorted on time, even in weather that would keep most people in but the animals don't mind (such as a below zero temperature or hard rain). The owners clearly love the dogs and are concerned for their welfare, bringing dogs that are pining for owners into their office for extra cuddling and giving even small dogs large kennel runs when space is available. When doing a group play session, one employee actually plays with the dogs, throwing balls and such, while another is cleaning up after them. My only criticism is that while a radio is left on at night for company, it's usually tuned to a really hard rock station. Pricing is comparable to most boarding kennels and less than the "ritzy" places. The facility is beautiful, with lots of natural light. Cats are given opportunities to get out of their cages and roam a safe room with windows and a fish tank (which is also kept in pristine condition, although the public never sees it). I highly recommend this business!
