My mom and I dropped 2 TVs off around Thanksgiving for repair. One was an LCD HD TV that was around 3 years old, and only had a problem with the sound cutting out. The other was a 5 or 6 yr old tube TV, which needed the tube replaced. My mom paid Tom $100.- to diagnose the problem. Months went by with no call or information from Tom. I finally called him and challenged him to call my mom, explain where he was in the repair process, and disprove my theory this isn't a real business. He called my mom and left a voicemail message saying he had ordered parts for the tube TV, and he would let her know when it was fixed. That was last winter. It's the middle of August now. My mom never heard back about her tube TV. I was told my $800.- LCD HD TV was beyond hope and could not be repaired. I have to wonder where that $800.- TV is now. Stay away from this guy and his bogus repair shop.

I would like to say that my experience with Tom's TV was the absolute most horrible service expeience I have ever had. He kept my surround sound system for two months and in the end sent it in for a replacement. I don't know why he couldn't have come up with this conclusion sooner. He would not return my phone calls and by the time I got my stereo back I had already replaced it. If you want quality service, DO NOT look to Tom's TV. If I could have given him zero stars I would have.

Pros: Was close to home.

Cons: Every possible downfall imagineable.
