Our high energy 50 lb mutt always comes home happy, healthy and tired. She likes water (her lab part) but hates swimming (her shephed part). So I told them that they could try and see if she liked the pool. They let her try it but she didn't like it so they comped her with more people time up front. She is always happy to go there. She can be pretty skittish about places where she's had a bad experience and she loves to be at Aunt Bee's. I trust them.

We recommended this facility to our son who lives 150 miles away. Quality boarding for a small dog and 2 cats was necessary while the son and his bride were on their honeymoon for 3 weeks. The son drove the animals the distance believing his animals would receive the "best" care. We live nearby and were on call in case of a problem.

While the son and new bride were gone, I called the facility frequently inquiring about the welfare of the dog, in particular. I was repeatedly assured that he was fine and having "a blast in the sniffin' park."

When the son and his new bride returned, they found their dog had lost almost 1/3 of his total body weight. No one had indicated that there were any eating problems with any of the animals when I called (every 2-4 days).

This could have been avoided had the facility followed the instructions to call us when they noticed the dog wasn't eating. (Or, maybe they didn't even notice which is even more disturbing.) Instead, a nice little dog suffered needlessly because someone in this facility was negligent in doing their job.

Nice facility. Proceed with caution.
