I agree with both of the previous reviewers (1-star and 5-star). \r\n\r\nI go here once or twice a month for the lunch or dinner buffets for the last eight years. I live in easy walking distance, though they have a nice parking lot nearby. The buffet is an excellent value as many of the dishes are the best quality I've had (out of the six small local Chinese restaurants and two large chains I've tried). \r\n\r\nIn particular, the sweet and sour chicken is large pieces of fresh white meat chicken in fried light breading with a fresh homemade sweet and sour sauce filled with an array of fruit and vegetables. The stir fry dishes like brocolli beef and stringbeans are excellent also. I also like the shrimp. On Friday there is a dinner buffet that includes a good handmade fish fry along with their best Chinese dishes.\r\n\r\nThe crab rangoon is on the buffet, and it is fried crispy and light on crab meat, as the other reviewer says. Personally, that's exactly the way I like it, though I understand not everybody does. I don't find the egg rolls too greasy myself, just average. I know some people love the egg foo young here, but I prefer the style at other restaurants.\r\n\r\nIf ordering off the menu, I found the items are a mixed bag. Some are excellent, easily the best anywhere, and some are terrible. I would not order the sweet and sour pork or the Generals/Sesame chicken here (sweet and sour pork is terrible in every small Chinese restaurant I've seen in Wisconsin, btw). They are indeed a mess as milwaukeemikee describes. I would recommend sampling the inexpensive buffet and getting an idea of what you like.\r\n\r\nNote the buffet is open 11-1:30 for lunch and after 5:00 for dinner on weekdays, and there is a lunch buffet on Saturday as well.

Pros: High quality buffet, inexpensive

Cons: Other menu items are hit or miss

Easily the worst chinese food we have EVER had, Milwaukee or anywhere else. Ordered the Crab Rangoon. Those had less than a teaspoon of crab mix and were just fried hard.\nSweet and sour pork has most grisly meat, and grease laden sauce.\nGenerals chicken came in a stew of mostly onions and looked like ALPO. Virtually inedible.\nShrimp egg roll was very tasty, but may as well have just drank the grease.\n\nWe didnt try much more off the menu and will not be going back! Service was not worth mentioning either.\n\nGood luck finding a better chinese food experience, this one was terrible.\n

This is by far my favorite chinese restaurant. The food is awesome and the service is great. Their seseme chicken, fried rice and crab ragoons are the best i've had. And it isn't too expensive.

Chinese Pagota has the best Egg Foo Young in the United States. The gravy is out of this world. Every time I am in Milwaukee I make the trip. The mushroom and the shrimp and my personal favorite. I also suggest trying the pork chop suey.
