Great selection of all types of bikes, nice to see affordable high quality stuff, and to hear why it's high quality. The sales people and mechanics are extremely knowledgeable as well, came back many times to have a few different bikes

Had my bike in for service on my brakes a month ago, and i'm very happy with both the service they did, price, and the honesty of the tech there. I was told i needed a bunch of new parts from another local store, but saved me a lot of

Just got my bike tuned up there, and got it back within 2 days. Wheel and sprocket was close to 2 full weeks behind, and they said they would "call me with an estimate in a few days".
Price was very fair, cheaper than flat rate places,

Great selection, bought a number of bikes for myself over the years here, as well as my family and kids. Family run, a bunch of brands, and knowledgeable service department.
No more wheel and sprocket for me!

This place has a sales pitch the likes of which I had never seen. I felt as if I were stepping onto a 1974 used car lot. High pressure sales tactics, and lots of misinformation. Then top it off with inflated prices on NOS (new old stock) bikes.
I just kept my mouth shut, and listened to the saleswoman, while wondering how quickly I could make a run for the exit. Beware.

Cons: Bad sales pitch and bad information
I recently purchased a Gary Fisher model Capitola bike which had an American flag symbol on the frame. That lead me to believe it was American made and the salesperson made no mention that the bike was merely designed in the USA as I later learned. I also later found to my dimay that this bike is a women's bike frame which the salesperson never made mention of.There is currently a slight difference in frame styles between mens and womens bikes as I now know. The salesperson should have made me aware of that prior to purchase. The bike is very comfortable to ride but I would have chosen another model even at a greater price tag given what I know now! Patio Bike Shop made a sale at the expense of having a customer who will never again purchase or recommend visiting their place of business.

Pros: They have a good long employed bike mechanic
Cons: Sales staff neglects to disclose accurate information
Don't be fooled by the small store front. This family run store has so many bikes they store them else were. Even if your looking for a recumbent they have some in the wear-house. I took my older road bike in and had John (The owner) switch it to a hybrid. He swapped out the parts I needed and for a very low cost, I didn't have to buy a new bike. The honesty is impeccable. They will tell you the up front truth about buying from department stores vrs a pro-bike shop.
So, if you have an older bike that needs servicing, this is the ultimate place to take it.

Pros: over 40 yrs of exp. and lots to choose from
Cons: small store front.
I was looking for bike equipment for my granddaughters bike for a gift. Their store is crowded and I had trouble finding what I had in mind. The salesperson was helpful, and their prices were a little high.
3I shopped around a bunch of stores, from racine to downtown looking for a road bike. I happened to drive by the store one evening when they were open and figured I'd just see what it was like since I had nothing to loose. The store is packed full of bikes and the owners are very knowledgable. Prices are competitive if not better than the big chain right down the road. Not a big selection of apparel, but for bikes, bike components and accessories it's very good. Hours can be a bit funny at times, but other than that it's my first choice when I need something. Not to mention you get a discount if you buy a bike there.

Pros: Helpfullness, honesty, low pressure, great prices.
Cons: Hours can be a bit odd, not a huge apparel selection
This is a family run bike shop. It's great. My mom shopped here before I was born, and I go to shop no that I can afford better than wal-mart bikes too. The staff is great and friendly and don't pressure you. They custom fit you into a bike and completely suits your needs. I'd recommend this shop to anyone!!!
