I had read some of the negative reviews about this salon but gave them a try anyway. I AM SO GLAD I DID.
The salon itself is ADORABLE, the staff is so patient and caring, and my son looks great. Ever part of my trip to Just Kidding was just stellar.
The little themed chairs and the ability to watch movies is an awesome idea!!! I can't say enough good things about this place!! My son had a wonderful time (no tears) which makes for a happy mom. When he was done he got to pick a prize for being so good and he was so excited!!
I guess it goes to show, that sometimes you have to try something yourself and make your own decisions. I am so glad I did!!
Thanks guys, we WILL be back!!! :)
I took my son who is 16 months for his first haircut here and regret every moment of it! I thought we should make his first haircut a memorable one, so I scheduled an appointment and drove 35 minutes to take him here. The stylist was rude and unfriendly. She was very quick and sloppy cutting his hair. I was extremely disappointed in the cut. I was trying to take pictures and she was very inconsiderate not really allowing me to take a good shot. We wanted a little piece of his hair, which she scooped some off the seat and gave it to us. Just unprofessional an every way. There are so many other things that happened that I was upset about. I think we were in there a total of 5 min. from the moment we walked in the the time we walked out. We were charged $18.50. for a reg. hair cut, they failed to mention that they have a first hair cut package for $22.50, have no idea what that included but for a couple of bucks more I would have been interested to know about it. I wish I would have never taken him there. They really ruined what I thought would be a great memory of his first haircut.
Do not take your child here. They screwed my son's hair cut up so badly. It looked like another child had cut his hair with safety scissors instead of stylist. I had to have it corrected at another location and the stylist there was shocked that another professional had done that to him.
The staff is always helpful and polite. They make you feel welcome.Expierienced, knoweledable, and creative.
Many services provided. the service was also quick was done in 30 minutes. Its located in very nice neighbourhood . There iare few parking buts its always full but you can park on the street
I took my daughter here for her first haircut and it was wonderful. They have movies playing and special chairs for the kids. They have a horse, cars etc and my daughter was enthralled enough with the horse and movie that she sat perfectly still for her haircut. The stylists are great and very child friendly. The clothes they carry are adorable as well as the accessories.
PROS: Adorable clothes and great atmosphere
CONS: Can be expensive
I was afraid to go to another "kids" place when Just Kidding opened in Mequon last month. I was impressed and amazed at how they treated my daughter. Lily is 3 and we have had bad experiences at other so called "kids" salons. When we were finished with Lily's haircut she didn't want to leave she was having so much fun driving the purple jeep! Since her cut we have had a ton of compliments on her hair. We will go back, again and again.
Pros: Great Stylists
Cons: Sometimes can't get in the same day
I love premium children's clothes, especially for my daugter. This place has some nice items but nothing you can't find elsewhere for less. Boutique Bebe on Downer is a much better place to find infant and children's clothes that you won't find elsewhere.
Just Kidding's prices are ridiculous for what they stock. Flapdoodles, for example, is a brand that is widely available for less. Another thing I don't like about Just Kidding is they don't regularly have sales. Boutique Bebe in contrast carries a much nicer and more unique line of clothes and at least twice a year has really excellent sales.
The thing that irks me the most about Just Kidding though, is that the overpriced merchandise comes with a healthy serving of attitute. They seem to think they are somehow better than the customer. The owner, who clearly has some screws loose, once accused my seven year old daughter of trying to shoplift. That was the last time I ever went there.
Cons: Overpriced clothing with an attitued to boot.
