Be careful of accusations... when children are involved people are very sensative and often over react. My little boy attended here for over a year and most of that time he did seem to find the expierence enjoyable. However there were problems with other children biting him. However in reality kids do bite each other and it very hard to completely conrol even with direct supervision by multiple adults regardless of the quality of care being provided. In his case it was not a recurring problem. However it did raise my awarness. ultimately the decision was made when I showed up to pick him up and he was playing in the main room with other kids without supervision. I removed him as quick as I could find a new provider. He was moved to a primate provider that appeared to be higher quality. However I actually had more problems at the second daycare then at lwkp. There were much larger classrooms and so a higher probabilty of trouble makers. There were also problems with biting at this daycare as well. Which even after the source child was identified this time the care provider only moved the problem child to another room. Although this helped me this was not fair to the kids in the room he was moved to. Daycare is really no different than school and when repeated parent teacher invovlement does not cure the problem all daycares should reserve the right to remove the child and should have diffenitally done so in this instance. Sadly though all daycares are businesses that will rarely turn down money even at the expense of your child. If you really want quality care reference the old adage if want something done right do it yourself. If you or your sig other are not able to stay home and care for your child you really should not have one period. They area full time job and should never be a responsability that is delegated. The reality is most all daycares have problems and if you stay involved you we become aware of the problems regardless if the daycare wants you to. Pay attention to your children everyday and you will know if you are using the right daycare.

Awful place! My child means everything to me, and this place is crap! I would not advise anyone to look at this place for care, they are horrible to the children! Everyone seems so negative and unhappy, and they take it out on OUR children! This is just wrong! Keep your children safe and happy, keep them away from here!! Thank you so much!

I actually used to be a teacher at this daycare. I must say it was one of my favorite jobs. The kids were so great and the teachers were easy to work with. Most parents love to stay involved and would take time to listen to you about their childs day when they were picked up, others would pick them up and just leave. I know for a fact there was never ever any abuse or abusive language said to these children...thats quite a claim. When teachers would begin to get stressed they would let each other know and someone else would step in to give them a break hence the great teamwork. Now its been over a year since I was employeed there but I have many friends I still go visit because of how much I loved my job there and loved getting to spend my time with them kids. I love LWKP and if you don't thats fine, but speaking as someone that worked there 8+ hrs a day and was on the inside I wouldve taken my own children there. Kids get dirty playing, eating etc, we would clean them up, but that is why parents did not send them to daycare in church clothes. I was there to make sure they could do that all while remaining in a structured and fun learning environment. I am no longer employeed at LWKP so I have no reasons to lie. It opened my eyes to wanting to work more with children so I am going to school to be a physical therapist and would liek to specialize in pediatrics. Try LWKP for yourself and see what you think this is just my opinion.

This is a great place if you're looking for a daycare! They work really well with my son and all the teachers are very patient with him, even though he can be a hand full sometimes!!!! Everyone cares a lot about him and they keep me up to date about everything that's going on with him! I couldn't ask for better caregivers for my son!

I was at Lake Wissota Daycare and heard the comment about the belt. It was one child saying it to another. An employee just blew it way out of proportion. I have trusted these prople to take care of my child for 2 yrs. Sometimes he 's not happy when he comes home, but its because he has rules to go by and doesn't like it. I LOVE IT!

Wow! I was just reading some of the reviews and i couldn't believe the one about the belt...that's a pretty serious accusation! I'm all about the truth, but I bring my kid to this daycare and i've never heard anything like that. Besides, if it were true, i'm sure the state people would have shut this place down a long time ago! Personally, I haven't heard anything bad about this daycare...and i couldn't imagine the teachers that work there, saying anything like that!

I think this is an awesome daycare. My wife and I have taken our kids here for a couple years now and some of our friends have even decided to take their kids there because we liked it so much.

My son has gone to this daycare center for about six months. I find the teachers to be very helpful, and they seem to truly care for, and get involved with, the children. I receive a detailed report every day of what they did as far as activities, mealtimes, and any special projects they are working on. The cost is the lowest I found in our area at about $130 a week for a full-time toddler, and I feel the care is worth every penny!
