Shaker Baker did an amazing job designing a cake in the shape of a pinball machine! Although they had never made a pinball machine, they truly exceeded our expectations (Andrea is very talented!) I would recommend Shaker Baker to anyone looking for a special cake. Excellent service, very helpful and friendly.

I ordered a cake for my son's baptism. It was to have a bible verse written as well has my son's name and a flowered cross. Pretty simple right? 1. My son's name was spelled incorrectly 2. The flowered cross didn't look like a cross at all. It was six flowers tall with two flowers making the cross. Nobody knew it was a cross. 3. When my husband picked the cake up, he was charged double the price I was qouted. So we had to return with the reciept and get reimbursed. 4. The cake itself was very dense and dry. YUCK!

My family has been going to Shaker Baker for years for personalized birthday cakes (for example, on my 9th birthday when I requested a polar bear and a llama on my cake). However, this weekend it had just been made clear how talented these designers really are. I am not an artsy person and usually have troubles describing in words what exactly I am envisioning. I had a general idea in my head of what I wanted my friends birthday cake to look like and emailed in a rough draft along with a general description. Not only was it exactly what I wanted, it was better than I imagined. The staff is very friendly and personable; it is obvious they care about their customer's satisfaction. Beautifully designed, reasonably priced, and delicious as well!! Highly recommended!

Truly one of the best tasting cake makers in the area. When you can close your eyes and taste their cake, and easily identify it because the flavor is so terriffic, you have found cake worth paying for. I've had their cakes for several birthdays/parties. The prices are higher than in local grocery bakerys, but it's worth it. They have a little deli for lunch items and indiv bakery items for sale.

I went there for a wedding cake consultation, we sampled some decent cake. However, no one ever returned for 15 mins. I even cleaned up our plates!!! I was never given a flyer, no policies were explained, no pictures were shown. The lady only came out when she saw my mom and I looking at the display cakes. When asked about price, we had a calculator shoved in our face reading $685. I have never been treated so poorly!! I was treated like a bum wanting repeated free cake. Will never do business with them. I also heard they are on their 4th owner, so perhaps this owner doesn't care about it's customers.

I had Shaker Baker make a parrot-shaped carrot cake for a Jimmy Buffet concert. They were the only bakery in town that would do this for me. The caked looked AMAZING and was absolutely delicious. I was also extremely impressed with the customer service I received. I feel the price was very reasonable for my request. I highly recommend Shaker Baker for all your bakery needs!!!

I have never tasted a carrot cake as moist as this one. I drive past a total of 5 bakeries and hike it all the way across town to get it. Everyone should try it, my family has been going there for years!

This is by far the best bakery that I have been to in Milwaukee. The pastries, cakes and puffs are delicious. Quality is excellent. I got great customer service at the bakery. The birthday and wedding cakes have incredible design. My personal favorites include: Brownies. lemon tarts, birthday cakes and the Indian Puffs. The prices of the items are also very reasonable. They are very reliable when it comes to delivering cakes to your home. I would strongly encourage everyone to go and try out their pastries, cakes and deli. Its just delicious!

Delicious cakes + other bakery goods! I ordered a custom made birthday cake and impressed all the guests. Needless to say, I highly recommend the bakery for all your special occasion needs!

Absolutely the best cakes i've tasted at any bakery. They have very good customer service, pastry chefs are very attentive to customer needs, make every attempt to do what i've asked for before saying not possible.

We have also catered lunch from them for some of our office meetings - affordable, tasty and healthy fare.

I have gone to Shaker Baker for both thier bakery and thier deli. My husband and I also looked into them for our wedding cake, but they were pretty pricey compared to other local bakers. I really like thier bakery, but thier deli isn't that great at all.

Also, thier location is great since they are on Bluemound road, however, it is hard to get there during busy times of the day. There isn't an easy in and out, if you have to cross Bluemound.

PROS: Great bakery, always have fresh bakery available.
CONS: Location isn't easily accessible during busy hours, high priced
