Being a middle-aged, male professional, I was a bit intimidated to try yoga. I had read and heard all the great benefits of practicing yoga, and when I heard of the YogAsylum, I decided to give it a try. Pam Bliss, the owner, has created an incredible environment that takes the mystique out of yoga and makes it approachable for anyone. I felt very comfortable at my first class, even though I didn't know any of the moves. Pam and her instructors made me feel welcome and accomplished, and worked with me individually to give me confidence and just as important, have fun. I was blown away by how GREAT I felt after just one class...my bodily stress was gone, and I was so mentally and physically relaxed that I even dozed off at the end! No problem, I was gently roused and told that they were honored I felt so comfortable there. I try to do it once a week, and find it complements my workouts at the Y well. So if you're interested in trying yoga for yourself, YogAsylum is the place! Thanks Pam!!!

Pros: Easy access and parking, friendly staff, beautiful studio

I was new to yoga when I visited YogAsylum a few months ago. I was looking for a friendly and inviting atmosphere without the chaos of a large club or community center. Highly trained instructors and small non-intimidating classes is also important to me.

YogAsylum has proven to be one of the best doors I?ve ever walked through. I was greeted by Pam Bliss (owner) and became instantly aware that YogAsylum is the best studio to learn and practice yoga.

I?ve attended more than a dozen YogAsylum classes, with various instructors, and am always eager for the next class. Each instructor is phenomenal ? each is expertly trained, warm, patient, and kind. My commitment to health, wellness, and inner peace is reaffirmed with each class.

Read the Mission, Studio, and Benefits on the YogAsylum web site. This studio delivers what they promise.

I?m proud, and grateful, to be part of the YogAsylum family community. If you are reading this, but haven't visited YogAsylum, I hope you do so soon; for the true experience is not in the written word, but in the action.

Namaste.

I have been a student of YogAsylum for 2 years, constantly recommend it to everyone, as it's made such an incredible, positive impact on my life, including my health. The instructors are fantastic, diverse and extremely knowledgable and helpful in assisting people reach their ultimate level of practice. It is also a wonderful community "meeting place" and I have actually met so many people who have become my friends. It goes far beyond just yoga. It truly has become my "home away from home" and more people need to experience it. Kudos to Pam Bliss, owner, for creating this special place in the Universe!

I started yoga at YogAsylum one year ago and always had bad back pain. My body relax and I am comfortable. Even though my English is not well I benefited from the classes and it is a place that I always look forward to and excited when I go to my class. Everyone is very warm and I never want to leave.

Yoga practise has alwalys been a large part of my life, and YogAsylum has been an amazing place for practise outside of home. The energy of the facility itself is proof of definite use of feng shui, and since I have been taking classes I have seen much improvement in my practise. Every time I learn new information about a pose that has benefited me in the future.

I play many sports but have always lacked flexibility so I decided to try yoga. I was very comfortable at YogAsylum, even though I was nervous because I had never done yoga before. I found myself feeling at home right away. I am happy to say that now my goals in flexibility reach beyond just touching my toes haha.

As an ongoing student and teacher of hatha yoga I must say that YogAsylum is my favorite place in the Milwaukee area to take classes & workshops. Why? The environment is so well cared for and the staff knowledgeable, warm and friendly. I have enjoyed workshops with top master teachers, i.e., an
Anusara Workshop with Todd Norian, and a Vinyasa Flow class with Daren Friesen from Moksha Yoga in Chicago. YogAsylum is the hippest yoga-in-the-know studio in the Greater Milwaukee area.
