I have been bringing my cats to them for 15+ years. I have always received excellent care. I trust them and do not understand all the bad reviews of them. I will continue to bring my cat to them for care.
When I had to put my beloved cat dawn it was dealt with in a kind compassionate way. I do not question the care that my cats have received.

I've taken two dogs to this clinic over ten years. Lost one three years ago, and, began taking my new guy here. All my experiences have been GREAT! I love the woman vets more than the man. The man is good, but, the women are better. Just my feeling. But, the workers really care and call and seem concerned. I've noticed some of the good people leaving lately. Maybe the economy? But, the ones they have still working for them are quite good, too. I can only say good things about them. I'm very happy they care for my dog. I feel SUPER comfortable with them at the helm. Sometimes, they can be a little higher in price, but, they are always worth it for the satisfaction I receive. They give an extra touch, and, always take much time in talking to me and answering my questions. My dog likes going there. If ever I have had a concern, I've told them, and, they'd taken care of it. People are not perfect, no place is always running 100%. But, they strive for the best and seem always to give that to me. I've very happy with this clinic! They go the extra mile and then some! Thanks!

What a great place to take our pets! We just moved into the area and are very pleased with the service we have received so far. We don't exactly have pets that just need their yearly boosters. They have many medical issues and we are very happy with the service we get not only from the Doctors but the front and technical staff as well. We needed to order a medication that they don't keep on hand all the time and the person who helped us with that was fast and efficient! I would recommend this clinic to anyone!

I will be switching my dog from going to this vet clinic. They have repeatedly made mistakes and I do NOT trust them with my dog's health. They are very disorganized as far as giving reminders and will not tell you when you are in everything your dog is due for- then telling you later multiple visits need to be done and will charge you a visit fee each time you go. My dog got his yearly vaccines here and had an allergic reaction so I had to take him in later that day and incurred more costs for IV fluids given, etc. I was told not to worry about the fees for this. The next week I ended up getting a reminder from them that my dog was overdue for his distemper- I called to tell them he just got it and turns out THEY HAD FORGOTTEN A VACCINE FOR HIM. They ended up giving me that vaccine no cost as it was their mistake (but of course I had to take him in yet again) and told me I had no balance with them. The next week I got a bill from them for the extra fees when he went back in for the allergic reaction. I called them to pay the bill over the phone and they never processed it. I didn't find this out until I got a '60 days past due pay now' statement from them. I called and told them that this was multiple times now I have caught their mistake for them and how can I continue to trust my dog's health with them? The manager, Chrissy, told me to just pay my bill over the phone to her because clearly I had already made a decision to switch vets. I said actually I had not, that's what I was trying to tell her, what were they willing to do to yet again fix their mistake. She said could call her when she was in the office to speak directly to her anytime I wanted to make an appointment or had questions- although the day before when I had called she wasn't there. I said this essentially was creating more work for me to do to be a satisfied client to have to try and track her down- what about the vet, Dr. Binor, that had forgotten the vaccine or the multiple front desk employees who had made mistakes on billing and reminders or notifications? She never said this was something that would be addressed with anyone or admitted any fault on their end. After a year of working with them, I believe they only care about making money and did not see evidence they actually care about providing good veterinary service to ensure the health of the animals in their care.

I took my Boxer to the Wauwatosa Vet Clinic and the doctors were very informative about the breed--they discussed what I should look out for and what I could do to try to prevent certain health problems that Boxer's are prone to. They were very friendly and showed that they truly cared about my dog! I see that other people have written to complain about costs of veterinary care---well, I have learned that YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I have been to cheap clinics and it makes me cringe to think of the rushed service I received (not to mention that I didn't learn a thing about pet care while there!) I am willing to pay for wonderful service, great education, and caring vets! Wauwatosa Vet clinic is just plain great!

I agree that this place is only concerned about making money. My wife and I had just moved to the area and went to the first clinic that we saw in the yellow pages. We were first time puppy owners and as soon as they figured this out, we were immediately taken advantage of. They would charge us for a full examination at every vaccination appointment, even when they were two weeks apart. They said it was clinic policy. They also tried to get us to prepay for procedures at our next appointment, just to make sure we would come back, I guess. I will say that they were always helpful and handled our puppy nicely, but our current vet does the same things, for a third of the price.

I recently took my dog to the Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic where I found out that my dog is hypothyroid.\r\nThe staff was very caring and helped me understand what was going on with my dog. I was able to get my dog's prescription filled right at the clinic. This saved me a lot of time. What a convenience! Thanks for taking great care of my pet!

I have been taking my cats there for years and have been very happy with them. They take good care of my cats and the people that work there are always nice and they don't just blow me off when I ask silly questions. They were able to help one of my old cats when he was very sick. Best Clinic in my mind!

A friend told me about the Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic after I was unhappy with my last vet. I have nothing but great things to say about my whole experience. Everyone, from the front desk to the doctor was very helpful and caring. They helped my dog when the other vet clinic had given up on him. I will not go anywhere else.

I got a new puppy and took it to the Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic. The staff was friendly and very knowlegable. They provided me with tools to help me work with my puppy. I loved the fact I got a binder of helpful information I could review with my family and the picture of my puppy was a great touch. Keep up the great work. I couldn't be more satisfied with my visit. Thanks again!

I took a new puppy for a wellness check, she was inoculated by the breeder, an experienced breeder who was known for excellent dogs for over 20 yrs. The vet didn't accept the shots given and inoculated the puppy again, in addition to this the vet was rough with this little dog, a 10 week old dachshund, so it was not like it was a 140 lb mastiff. While I can't say for sure, but I believe these double inoculations weakened the immune system of my puppy, in 3 weeks my once healthy puppy was dead. The reviews here seem ok for this vet, but I suggest you look around the web, you will find my feelings in the majority for this establishment. I will never, ever take one of my animals to this wretched place. Be warned.

I adopted my dog from the Wisconsin Humane society last fall and took her to this clinic purely based on location and that their name was in the paperwork I was given when I took her home. I have had nothing but problems with this clinic such as receiving mail that my pet is overdue for treatments that she has already had and then finding out they couldn't even find our information in their computer. I was overcharged and at one point they tried to give her shots that she was already current on. If I had not followed my pet's care so carefully and argued with them repeatedly my dog would have recieved a second Rabies shot, another distemper shot and a blood test she wasnt due for until this October. Who knows what would have happened if I hadn't fought this. They actually tried to refuse selling me the Heartgard my pet uses. After learning of this mistake I recieved several formal apologies, but they still charged me for the appt. What a joke! Do your research, I wish I had! You will be better off somewhere else.

Took my puppy dachshund in for puppy check after I bought her. Vet was rough with this little dog, she didn't accept breeder shots, and inoculated puppy again-- AGAIN!! Needless to say, this healthy puppy upon purchase and initial vet check, was dead 15 days later. I should have walked out the door just for how the vet was treating my dog, but didn't, and I regret that till this day. The worst part was they didn't send her body out for cremation because the bill was left open-- they never said I needed to pay the 2500 dollars first before they would send her to the crematorium, 6 weeks later I get a call saying we have your dog in the freezer-- do you want us to dispose of the body. . .? I can not prove they killed my dog because of the over inoculation, but I tell you I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. They are horrible. This happened 7 years ago and I still can't get over how wretched the place is.

After several disappointing experieces with vets in Milwaukee and Menomonee Falls, we took our pets to the clinic my parents used to take their pets to, Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic. We found the entire staff to be warm, caring, and considerate of our pets needs as well as ours. We have been going there for more than 12 years.\r\n\r\nDr. Tenorio is our vet of choice. He is deeply committed to our pet's health, yet mindful of our pocketbook. When our 16-year old cat reached the end of his trail, the entire staff held our hands those final weeks and cried with us. Then they made a contribution to the UW School of Veterinary Medicine in our pet's name.\r\n\r\nTheir office staff know all of our pets by name and their vet tech's do volunteer work at local animal shelters. They are committed to their community as well as their patients. We are pleased to be able to recommend their services.

I too stopped going after being a faithful customer for years. I always thought expensive but figured a little more worth it when one loves their pet. Boy was I wrong. All they seem to love here is money. What really got me is after years of loyal pet care I called one day to ask for a tech to check my dog's ears before I left town as he was scratching and had previously suffered a serious infection that cost me over $600 at this clinic. I was told to bring him in. A short while later the office manager called to say it would be an additional $75 as I did not have an appointment scheduled. Never again...my new clinic is 1st rate and would never dream of a practice like that.

When I stumbled onto the reviews below, I was amazed! My guess is that two of these people have an ax to grind for some unknown reason. Dr. Tenorio and his staff have treated our many dogs and cats since 1992. His facility is clean, neat and organized. His demeanor as well as his staff's is friendly and genuine. We have had many vets in our many moves and this one most definitely tops our list! I might ad that Dr. Tenorio once voluntarily came to our home to put our very old cat to sleep while we held her in our arms. He never charged us, but instead asked us to send a contribution to the local university for veterinary science, which we did.\r\n\r\nYOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER MAN TO TREAT YOR BEST FRIENDS..........I PROMISE.\r\n\r\nJohn Putnam\r\n239-777-2555

This clinic advertises that they are AAHA certified and up to date on all the technology and have well trained staff, but I can say that they are overly priced and that's all they care about. They push a lot of things on you that you don't need and get upset when people want to decline things. I also think that their level of care sucks. If my dog was hit by a car in front of their clinic, I wouldn't take her in, I'd drive an hour out of the way

We had taken our cat there. I don't remember what was exactly wrong. This place did not help at all. We ended up going to a different Vet to save our cat's like. It cost a small fortune and could have been prevented had we not walk through the door.

PROS: NONE!
CONS: Bad place to have front door right on busy street. Not the best car.

We took our aging diabetic cat this vet for a routine check up. At that time he recommend we change food to a food we could only purchase from a vet office. We accepted this advice and the cats downward spiral began a week later. We were never again able to stabalize her diabetes and she dropped weight faster than we could find a way to restore it. As an aside we discovered that the food change was inappropriate and the sudden and drastic change cause the above. I agree with the other review that we felt more like a dollar sign than a patient. DON'T USE THE VET.

Being new to the area, I picked what seemed to be a relatively decent vet clinic close to home. DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER! Not only was the vet himself rude on more than one occasion, but the office staff was also. I felt like I was only a dollar sign to them. The vet was overly aggresive with my cats, leaving one very sore for 3 days because of improper handling. I immediately left and found another vet. I tell everyone I know not to go to the Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic. They are BAD news!!!!
