Will never go back! This store does not stand behind their products. My fiance bought by engagment ring here thinking he was working with a good jeweler. We came in to pick out our wedding rings and they had nothing I liked at all. So we ended up taking three rings and putting them together to make my wedding band they way I wanted(I just wanted a 3 row diamond band). My fiance picked out his ring, we paid in full and left. That was 2 months ago, May 28th to be exact. After we placed the order, they called us within a week and said we needed to pay an additional $200 since the price had changed (we are lucky we had that money, Chalmer's did not seem to know that most people planning a wedding are on a budget and every dime counts) They finally called us last week to tell us that two of our rings were in and that we needed to pay another $200 more. When I called back they said they looked at the wrong receipt and we did not owe....knowing what you are doing is key to having a business. I went in to see my rings and asked them to look at some concerns on engagment ring, they told me I had a huge chip on my diamond and that I had to claim it on our homeowner's insurance. I was so upset, it was 6 months old and I have a desk job and am hardly rough on my rings. I called three jewelers and took my ring into all 3, they all said if we had gone to them, they cover that 100% for the life of the diamond and they all said the prong was pushed down on the chip and they all thought it had been done during mounting. We went to chalmer's saturday only to work with the very unprofessional owner, Scott, who told me that it is possible I could have snagged it on my sweater and caused the chip and that no other jeweler he ever knew would ever cover a chip. He did offer to cut down my diamond for me.....what person in the world that paid for a certain size diamond would let you cut off 20-30% of it???? We asked about canceling our wedding rings and he said no, I then asked what the restocking fee was, he said 30% of the price (keep in mind we never took them home, and the store didn't even have all of them) that would have been almost $900. We left and went to another jeweler right away. We were treated like gold, had much better selection and half the price. They (Jared) also gave us - in writing - a booklet that stated they would cover all chips. We are claiming the diamond on our homeowners and will have to pay a higher premium for it for the next 3 years, but we will have Jared put a diamond in that will be correctly covered. We went back to Chalmers and cancelled our wedding bands. When we walked in, Scott, the owner would not even make eye contact with us and the whole staff looked at us like we had a disease. They obviously heard or were told after we left what issues we had. Another manger came over to cancel our order and only charged us $200 restocking fee (keep in mind, of the other 3 jewelers I spoke with, none charge a restocking fee if you never take the pieces out of the store) That means the "honest" owner was going to charge us $700 more just because he could. What an A**.

My sincere appreciation to you for "bending the rules". I'm unable to put into work how grateful I am for the compassion you showed us during this challenging time. Thank you for being you.

Thank you so much for all your help with our rings. We are so happy with them and they certainly help make our wedding all we wanted it to be.

Diane was very good as a salesperson. She helped me out in a very non-pressured way. Appreciate that.

Customer service is non-existant. We walked around the store for 10 minutes before someone would help us. The man assisting us knew very little about diamonds and did not seem to know what he was doing. Avoid if possible!

We bought my engagement ring, both wedding bands, and my wedding present (pearl earrings) from Chalmers and won't go anywhere else.

The service is extremely friendly, very helpful, not pushy, and educational. They have a huge selection and spent a long time with my choosy husband. I got back every six months or so to have my rings cleaned and they were excellent about resizing/soldering them together.

Highly recommended!
