My husband and I recently bought a home with an inground pool and the previous owner's used pool works. However I will not be using them in the future. They are unprofessional and have the worst customer service. Even the technicians that came to our home were unprofessional and left us still with questions about our pool. They acted as if it was no big deal and it wasn't rocket science to run everything. I understand that but it would be nice to know we are not wrecking our equiment.

As I'm looking to re-open my pool this spring, I am reminded of how disappointed I am in the pool I bought from Pool Works.\n\nPool was installed in the fall of 2007. It is a 30x15 oval w/ straight sides (no angles into yard). \n\nPool builder installed per manufacturers directions. Within a week, the sides were angling out and pulling up on the support bands under the pool.\n\nCalled Pool Works for 2 weeks before I got a return call. Builder said to wait for settling until spring 2008. He came back and reinforced, but the same thing happened again.\n\nNo one will take blame: Builder (which I understand, he built to manufacturers directions), Pool Works and manufacturer both blame builder.\n\nI sit with a pool I am afraid is going to burst open one day.

One star is too much for this company but I couldnt rate any lower. If for some crazy reason you do decide to go with them, make sure your head is over there shoulder at ALL times. They have the absolute WORST customer service. I could sit here and write a 10 page paper on why NOT to get your pool built by them but I dont have the time. We had custom pool/landscape extra put in, in the 500k range. We have had the WORST experience with them. I dont right reviews, but felt obligated too, to hopefully stop one person from going through the same headaches we've had to go through. By the way, the other review by rchx is Spot on.

Began our interaction nearly a year ago (summer 2006). Custom pool/landscape package in the 200k range. Advised to begin pool construction in the fall so get a jump on this summer's (2007) pool season. \r\n\r\nPool Works completed about 80% of the pool, as expected, last fall. \r\n\r\nUnfortunately, this year we have experienced absolutely horrific service. Greg, seemingly the only employee able to discuss a custom pool, refused to return calls from me (homeowner) and our landscape architect. \r\n\r\nNo one from the company visited the pool construction site until the end of April. After which, no work was done for over a month; and then only one or two contractors completing bits and pieces of the job. They didn't apply the pool coping until the second week in June. This 2 hour job held up the concrete contractor for a month. \r\n\r\nAs it stands we have about half of our equipment, the track for the cover hasn't been placed & they pawned off installation of the pool slide to the landscape contractor. Today, June 22, 2007, as the days start getting shorter, we are not even close to having a functional pool. GREG doesn't answer his phone (gotta love caller ID) and ignores his voice-mail. \r\n\r\nI would NOT RECOMMEND POOL WORKS under any circumstances.

Pros: Only concrete pool installer in the area. Quality work (if the guys show up)

Cons: Everything associated with customer service.

I have been working with other pool stores in Green Bay and was totally dissatisfied. Recently I found this hidden gem along highway 41. When I walked into the store, I was greeted politely and the service has continued throughout my relationship with Pool Works. The prices on chemicals are also far more reasonable than where I was going in the past. I would recommend that if you have a pool or spa, check out Pool Works.

Pros: Prices, Products, People

Cons: Farther away from Hom
