This is a great place to go for a little stretching of the legs and some back to nature time. Terrific for children also. how often do you get to see a deer.. other than deer season and it is tied up to some fella's truck.

The deer are domesticated and very friendly.
You can feed them from the palms of your hands just as you feed goats at the petting zoo.

Enjoy some relaxation time. If it is a blistering hot day, you might enjoy it even more, it is very well shaded.

This is a well-known attration throughout WI, so don't miss the Dells Deer Park. On their sprawling property are a variety of deer, including sweet little fawns, as well as some other wildlife. There are lots of opportunities for the whole family to touch and even feed the deer (feed is sold there). Young children do need to be closely watched though, since having deer come right up to them, may be a scary experience. Overall, good family fun and a learning experience for the kids.

PROS: Interesting experience
CONS: Young children may be afraid of the deer

Now keep in mind I haven't been to this deer park in years, but the last time I was I was truly sickened and there are good reasons I never went back. THese deer were sickly and skinny, had their antlers sawed off, some looked near the brink of death. It was a very disturbing event for me and my kids, they actually cried about it several times afterwards. It was truly horrible, hopefully they have shaped up.

PROS: Absolutely NONE
CONS: Sick/dying/hair falling out/emaciated deer

Very large. Lots of deers. You ca buy some deer food from the front gate (and I would advise to get a lot). There are all sizes deers, but of course the most exciting is the part with baby deers. It can be a little scary for small children- the deers will come to get food from you- don not let small children unsupervised with deer food in their hands. Overall, a very nice idea, great family fun.

PROS: very nice
CONS: be carefull with the small kids...

The Deer Park is one of my favorite places to visit when in the Dells. For a small fee you get unlimited time to walk around a park full of deer and some other petting zoo animals. You can feed them (small extra cost for food) which is the most amazing thing for kids to see and do.

Don't miss this place when you are in the Dells!
