We couldn't what to go back to Cy's it had been over a year because it used to be our favorite place to go. Things started out wonderful...the coconut shrimp was just as delish as we had remembered and the ice tea is amazing. Once our food came, we noticed fruit flies all around the meal. At first thinking it was just a fluke, we continued to eat. The food tasted good, but not as good as we remembered. Again, the fruit flies started. On the table, on the food and in our drinks. We complained to the wait staff and he left to go ask what could be done and when he came back, he said that the owners approved to give half off one of the meals. I couldn't believe that is all they were willing to do. No apology, no gift card and Cy would not even come over to speak to us. The waiter asked if we wanted any dessert and when I said that we no longer had an appetite, he laughed and said "oh come on, it comes with a side of fruit flies. I couldn't believe that they thought this was a joke. I was ready to hurl the way it was wondering how many fruit flies I had already eaten. I got up and left, my husband paid the bill. We will never return.

A word of caution to those unfamiliar with Cy's or Thai cuisine: Cy's offers varying levels of spiciness, from 1 to 5, in their curry-based dishes (which populate over half the menu). However, the menu does not explain which sauces are milder and which are hotter. To the best of my recollection, the order of heat from lowest to highest is Sweet, Green, Fusion, Five-Star, and Evil. The server, who did a great job taking care of my party, did have some language issues and was unable to relay this information to us, leaving one in our party with a dish too spicy for her palette.

Regardless, the flavor of every dish at Cy's is immaculate, and depending on how brave you are, you can tackle the spicier sauces for amazing tastes.

I have eaten at most of the Thai/Asian restaurants in the Fox Valley and must say that Cy's is hands down my favorite. I have lived in Thailand, and the dishes at Cy's, being remarkably authentic, were just as good (if not better) than the cuisine I remember eating there. The owner, Cy, is very friendly and will usually make it a point to come to your table to ask about your dining experience, even during the busiest of times. This restaurant is perfect for anyone - from the epicurean of Asian fare to someone hankering to try Thai for the first time. Highly recommended!

My family & I have been going to Cy's for 6 years and it's the best Thai Restaurant in the Valley. Whenever I am asked by anyone where should I go out to eat. I always say Cy's. Cy & his family are extremely friendly and always make a point of coming up to our table to say hello. But the food is why you should go there because they have the most flavorful creative entree dishes, soups and drinks. Too many to name whatever you order you will be pleased.

Great service, fresh authentic food and quality ingredients. This is what I refer to as ?Big City Thai Food? because for some reason all the Thai restaurants in small towns drown the noodles and meat in sauce and overcook the vegetables. Whereas, in larger cities (and at Cy?s) the emphasis is on fresh flavor, synergy of ingredients and wonderful presentation. It?s family run and is consistently the best Thai food I?ve had?and I?ve had Thai food all over the world (except Thailand!). Try the fresh spring rolls, the pad thai and the sticky rice with coconut ice cream! So good! The iced coffee is perfectly prepared.

My husband ordered a noodle dish with chicken. In the middle of consuming his lunch, he bit down hard on something hard and crunchy. He almost broke his tooth on this mysterious object. He pointed this out to the owner and her response was a shrug of the shoulders. He has no plans to return to Cy's ever again.
