Stinks, dirty, smelly, so crowded, heat is always so hot u feel like u are going to pass out, always has broken equipment, u can never get on any equipment, noone ever wipes their pouring sweat off the machines, and staff there are very unfriendly and unhelpful!
The members that belong to this facility are so rude and dirty and have no class! I have never belonged to a gym that had such nasty, mean people before in my life! It is so hard to get motivated when I walk into this place. I dread going everyday I have to go....I am so sorry I ever joined here. I cant wait till my memebership is up!!!!! Goodbye getto.....

Too much people, best time to use free weights here are after 8pm weekdays, and anytime on weekends.
I trip over exercise equipment all the time.
Stuckup people work there.
Crusty locker room.
And a lot of haters that don't want to see you succeed at building muscle go to that gym.
Anyways, I still go there cause I don't want to be a weak fat blob.
Hope this helps

I don't know why I ever got a membership here. I should have known better and did a little research before I signed a contract.

The place is gross. Dirty, smelly, old. There aren't even sanitizing stations. okay. Wait. there is ONE. Even snap fitness has them all over the place.

The people that are working at the front desk (with exeption to one new girl with short dark hair) are HORRID. Not a smile, not a "have a great workout" "thanks for coming in!" "good to see you!". There is ZERO customer service. I can't stress this part enough. ZERO. I used to work in a fitness club in northern wisconsin and we STRIVED for great customer service- This Bally's could care less if you were there or not. If you had a good workout or not.

The place smells like poop. If you think I am joking, go there. I am not. I would feel more welcome if I went back to Snap.

Has potential and can be good with just a bit of effort. As it is, not the best place to work out. First of all, it is crowded beyond reason which means sometimes long waits for the equipment or no spots for classes. They are selling too many memberships for the size of place. Secondly, how much would it cost to have some extra cleaning stations? Not even during the flu season?! One per floor is really bad idea. Third, it is common to find broken, squeaking, lopsided machines that then take weeks to fix. Lastly, it stinks a bit. The good? Huge parking lot with easy access and good staff (except the imperious manager),

If the Milwaukee Ballys is as bad as a San Antonio Ballys you can bet that every Ballys in the country has the same problems. I have been a member of the San Antonio, 5819 NW Loop 410, San Antonio TX 78238, (210) 647-9600, Ballys Total Fitness, for the last 6 months. Many of there fitness machines have been less than functional from day one. I was told they have new equipment. That statement is not true. The machines must be at least 5 years old or more. When the club gets crowded you are forced to use them. They do not post signs stating functional problems. The SPA whirlpool has been down off and on for over 3 months. The public scale is down regularly with low battery. It looks like mold is on the walls of the wet and dry sauna. They rarely have cleaning rags and solution to clean after a workout. Whenever you ask why, you always get the same excuse, "they are working on the problem". My guess is they do not use our high workout fees for facility repairs or up keep. If you call to the Ballys main office you will not get a clear response. All they tell you is to talk to the facility manager. I personally feel that the manager at the San Antonio facility does not care about the people or the facility. Unless everyone complains nothing get repaired.

I have been going to this particular Bally's for 3 years now, 6 days a week. i find it really clean, especially the women's locker room. And....There is alot of new equipment since i called and complained a year and a half ago! Although the club is one of the busiest clubs; i have found a great variety of friendly people and staff who are willing to help with whatever the need may be. The tempo is upbeat here and everyone seems pretty serious in their workouts. There are also several good classes to take. I would give the club a 4 star.... five if they would replace the ugly old ceiling with a more contemporary industrial open look and the old running track carpet. By the way if there are any complaints i would call Bally's at the main headquarters, this is what gets results....

This gym is a total mess. One cleaning station per floor discourages equipment wipe downs. Machines are down/broken often, many very old and are repaired long after complaints. Spin room closed to everyone because someone stole sound equipment (ever consider a lock?) Main manager gets irritated hearing concerns. Try another Bally's, this one apparently not in need of business.
