We have been so very happy with Dr Hartling, the new vet, at Gentle Care. A few month ago, our dog ingested a poison. I called the after hours line, and Dr. Hartling was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and our dog is just fine. Recently, my other doggie contracted a tick borne disease. Dr. Hartling was very quick to diagnose and treat my best buddy. She has provided wonderful, professional care! Plus, my dogs love her, too.

I just switched vets and i would highly recommend Gentle Care to anyone that would ask! Dr. Rose is fantastic; she truly cares about the pets and is very reasonable in her pricing. She actually spends the time discussing your pet's health; I've only been going to her for the last 3 weeks and she already has my pet's diabetes under very good control. I recently left my previous vet at Parkland Plaza in New Berlin after being a customer for 8 yrs. I left because I always felt robbed after every visit and i never felt that Dr. Butler really cared about my pets; they were just $ signs to him. The last straw for me was when I took my bichon in to have a sore on his head looked at; Dr. Butler cleaned it and sent me home with meds that were not necessary because I was going to go back in 2 days to have the sore removed; that cleaning and couple of meds was $270! Plus I was suppose to go back and have it removed for another $300!
Dr. Rose took care of this for my dog, she also cleaned it first and then removed it while keeping his blood sugar under control and provided me with meds; all this cost $175. She's in this business because she loves animals and doesn't see them or their owners as dollar signs. Thanks Dr. Rose!

Dr. Rose is wonderful! Our dog was so sick and it was right before Christmas, we couldn't afford the surgery but Dr. Rose was determined to try a few things to save him....I was there with my brother and when Dr. Rose told us what she was going to do to try and help, he swore the bill would be well over $300.00 but Dr. Rose only charged us $100.00 (this included X-Rays). Sadly nothing worked and a day later he had to be put down. Dr. Rose stayed with us and even shared in a few hugs. The office may not be fancy, but Dr. Rose cares about your pets. I NEVER hesitate to tell people to see Dr. Rose, not only is she kind, caring and compassionate, her prices are extremely reasonable. I couldn't ask for better!

Dr. Rose was recommended to me by my boss who said he'd used her for a few years and was very pleased with her service. When I got my dog Lieger we went to Dr. Rose because I was told he needed to be brought up to date on all his shots. After looking at his records she told me he was up to date on everything.. Saving me money. Normally when you take a dog in for shots and what not your looking at a bill for nearly $300... Well not with Dr. Rose. When it did come time for my little guy to go in and get updated I was very surprised with the fact the bill was only $40 some dollars and change. I've also been in to see Dr. Rose when my dogs ear became irritated. I called the doctors office and got in the very next day to see her and was only there for a total of 25 mins and my dog was fully tested, treated and cleaned up by her daughter. I'll admit i was very much on edge when going into this office but I'm glad I did. Dr. Rose is one of the greatest vets I've met so far. I look forward to doing plenty of business with her.

I've taken my current dog to Dr. Rose for years, and when I obtained a 12.5 year old neglected husky, I immediately took her to Dr. Rose. I told her the dogs story, and explained that I didn't know how I was going to pay for it, but whatever tests the dog needed I would spread across a few charge cards (knowing that it would cost a lot). After all the shots & blood tests were done, the bill was under $100. And 11 months later, when my girl was failing I took her to dr. Rose again and as excruciating as the pain is to lose a pet, Dr. Rose stayed with me the entire time. I refer all my friends & family to Dr. Rose Elliott. Her facility may not be as fancy as other vets, but her bedside manner and the type of care she offers surpasses them all.

Dr. Elliott is a great vet! We had been to a vet with our new puppy and they told us she had some rare skin disease. We decided to go to Dr. Elliott for a second opinion and she dismissed the skin disease right away and even explained why our dog wouldn't have it. Everyone there has been so nice. I would recommend her to anyone!

Doc is the most caring vet I have ever met. We almost lost our beloved Malinois this spring to a tick disease. We were lucky that at our annual visit the day before doc had actually recommended that we get the full tick panel since we take our dogs hiking regularly. To our surprise, the very next day our dog came down with the disease (annaplasmosis). I called Dr. Rose right after the office closed and she recommended I come right in after finding out our dog suddenly was vomitting and could not even walk straight. We were in her office for the next 3 1/2 hours with both Doc and her daughter. We were so very lucky that she saved our dogs life. She could have told us to go the emergency vet clinic, however, she did not and stayed with us until it appeared as if our dog was 'out of the woods'. I would recommend Doc in an instant for her love of the animals!

We have always gone to Dr. Rose because she is close to our house, and she has always done a great job helping ALL of our animals. But the one night that sticks out is the night when we found out that our most beloved cat had bladder crystals. He was in so much pain that he could hardly move-- so we called Doc at 11:30 at night! She got out of bed and came the the clinic in her pajamas to save our cat's life! It turns out he had less than 48 hours to live unless he got help right away. She worked on him for hours that night and did it at a fraction of the cost of the bigger clinics. I recommend this vet to anyone who wants a vet who honestly cares about the pet- and not just about the family's money!

Our family has changed vet services - reason being that we did not feel any personable experience with a few other clinics we used in the past. The assembly line type service practiced by the other fancy "animal hospitals" fall short on giving explanations on what conditions our pets were experiencing. They always seemed more concerned with charges they could incur rather than the critters well being.
Dr. Rose Elliot and her staff are THE BEST we've had since our "Old Country Vet" retired.
Sincerely, The Berglund's

Dr. Rose is a great vet. When I visit from out of state, I have her take care of any problems. I even arranged to have her spay the dog and clean teeth. She really loves animals and is also very concerned with the owners.

The staff there is very friendly and they care alot about the animals that they see. They are also very helpful when you have a new pet for the first time and they provided a puppy packet with samples and literature for me when I got my own puppy for the first time which was very helpful. They also did not take all my cash from my pocket which is an added bonus.

WONDERFUL care received at each and every visit! WONDERFUL, CARING staff! You'll love taking your pets here!!! WE do!!

Pros: Service, for sure!

Cons: Lots of cats roam freely here... Those allergic, take your meds before visiting. (I do.)
