I contracted Schoenwalder Plumbing out for a master bath remodel. At the start they were friendly. I dealt with their showroom staff and president Kory. The job was to gut and remodel everything. As the job progressed, I started to get promises from the President, Kory(general contractor contact) about getting credits for certain things. After getting the final invoice, I noticed none of these credits that were promised. I questioned him and he said they were not part of the contract and just wanted his final payment. He wouldn't budge and got rather heated with me.

I then questioned him on the ""access panel"" for underneath the tiled in tub deck. They created one, but completely tiled it in and grouted around it so if there is a problem in the future, I would need to break the tile and then replace the tile and regrout the seam. They never asked my input during the process as if it was acceptable. He said that is standard and looks better than having an actual panel? What? What is the point of an access panel if its completely sealed? I asked if there were other options and he said the tiler was paid already and that would be fine.

The painter they contracted out said he did 3 coats, but he didn't even do one, and not even close to a professional standard. He missed a number of areas in the corners, left paint splatter all over the tub which I had to spend over an hour of my time to clean up and left paint on the framing in the bathroom. I brought that up to Kory and he said the painter does a good job and he just painted his own laundry room at his house? What ? What does that have to do with anything. He did a terrible job for me.

At the final inspection for electrical and plumbing, the
plumbing for the shower was leaking in the basement. What? This is a plumbing company. Just gives you an idea of the stuff I had to deal with. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere for contracting or even plumbing needs. I still get upset when I think about what I had to go through with this company.
