Pros: employes are the best

Cons: parking, trees are blocking showtimes move them

Marcus definitely has the Milwaukee cinema market cornered. Although relatively conveniently located, now with a roundabout in front for even more traffic nightmares, I have a hard time recommending Ridge.

It's a large facility with a lot of screens, which potentially means a lot of variety. Unfortunately, it is often set up so that the same movie is playing on multiple screens, which substantially reduces the movie selection (20 screens, I believe). The parking lot is sufficiently large, unlike some locations, and there is sufficient room that they can handle even large events.

The downsides really start with the cost. It's an expensive theater. The ticket prices have been climbing slowly but consistently, and so have the concession prices.

The pretentious upscale stylings of Marcus are something that I'd prefer not to pay for, although thankfully they haven't got one of their player pianos sitting in the lobby. What they do have is the chain's funniest ticket ripper, a guy who's been there for as long as I can remember, and whose nametag simply reads "Spider". He's full of comments and advice about your movie, and this is one of the things that really saves Ridge and makes it more entertaining and friendly. What's amazing is that he can perform his little act all night, giving each patron a little personal attention and a welcome feeling. It really sets Ridge out above and beyond the typical Marcus location (which I am not at all impressed with).

Marcus used to start their ads at the listed start time of the movie, which meant that you could reliably show up about ten minutes late if you wanted to skip ads and some unknown percentage of the previews. Thankfully, they've stopped that practice, and the previews are now timed to start at the listed movie start time. I generally don't mind previews, but I despise paying to see a performance and being subjected to ads. The current situation is at least tolerable.

There is a tendency to employ kids, though this seems to work out somewhat better here than at other theaters. If you have a question or problem, though, it is still best to target one of the older employees.

The overall experience here isn't that bad, but all things considered, Showtime is only a short drive away.

A definite plus for Spider and the easy convenience to the freeway. Everything else, ehhh, it's Marcus.

the ridge Theaters is usually where my bgf and I hook up for a night out. There is usually no problem finding a movie we both like because pretty much any movie currently playing is playing here. Area restaurant choices are great also. Facility is clean and convienent.

Every once in a while we'll go to this location. It's not the most convenient for us, but we love the big theater. The drinks and popcorn are always good. The theater is kept clean as well.

They do have stadium seating. I am not sure why this theatre draws such a crowd other than there isn't one to speak of on the Southwest side or anywhere in Muskego or New Berlin (except this one) anymore. And, there are several

Pros: Location, Employees are patient and friendly, the movie review guy that tears your ticket is GREAT! FUN!

Cons: parking, lines, some small theatres, crowds, pricing

If you are looking for a clean, neat theater that shows first run movies, this is the place for you. They have stadium seating, which means that everyone can see, even the littlest one.
They also have booster seats available outside of every theater.
The concession areas are numerous, so no running all the way to the front to purchase your popcorn.
Staff is very courteous.
The theater was very well kept, they clean immediately after each showing.

The Ridge is New Berlin's "IT" threatre. It plays all the new movies and has great popcorn. They have pepsi sodas and lots of different kinds of candy .They are really expensive though. A morning show cost about 5.25 per person, and a night show at 8.50 per person. Also note that it has recently been redone and looks great.

PROS: Great movies
CONS: Prices

We always go to the Ridge to watch movies. It's not the closest theatre to us, but it's the nicest one within a short driving distance. The facilities are alwasy clean. The seats are nice, and the movies alwasy look good up on screen. They recently added a new area where you can fill up your own soda. A nice little benefit.

This is our favorite place to see a movie. They have stadium seating, and they even have a few loveseats in some of the theaters. The popcorn and soda prices are a little high, but it is a very clean place.

I love this movie theater so much! I love the cleanliness of it and its size allows a larger selection and better times for viewing. The only downside to this place is its overpriced in everything, from tickets to soda, and I might as well wait the three months it takes for the film to come out on DVD for me to enjoy in my own home for much less.

If you want to watch a movie out in theatres, this is the place I usually visit. Not because it's wonderful, but this movie theatre seems to have a monopoly in the local movie market and I have not many other choices. The quality of the show (sound, temperature, picture, etc) is typically very good. Once, when viewing a movie, the sound was crackling the whole time and I could barely hear anything. I was really pissed, but the theatre gave everybody free tickets to return to help make up for it. The popcorn is like popcorn at all other movie theatres -- over priced. This theatre in particular is near the expressway, hotels, and places to eat -- which make it a great place for dating.

PROS: Location
CONS: Prices to see a night movie being over $8
