Vera's House Of Bridals Ltd

We went to Vera's thinking that it was the place to go, but it turned out to be an absolutely terrible experience! The bridal consultant's attitude was very negative, we told her we'd like to see a variety of styles because we didn't have anything in mind, but she refused to show us anything until I had literally sketched out dresses that we had seen before for her. She complained that my maid of honor and I were "too quiet", told us she wasn't interested in what my maid of honor thought, and when we tried to take pictures of the dresses because my mother lives far away, she told us that "this isn't a photo shoot!"

Halfway through our appointment the bridal consultant told us that she felt like we weren't happy with anything she had brought and that she felt that we were negative (despite my trying to say what I liked and didn't like about the dresses!) and that she felt like it was pointless for her to show us anything. She refused to show us any more dresses until we had cheered her up and stroked her ego!

She basically kicked us out after less than 40 minutes, and when she left to get the information about some of the dresses one of the other bridal consultants barged into the room while I was changing (after we had yelled 3 times when she knocked that someone was changing and not to come in) and she left the door wide open so that everyone in the hallway could see me!

Overall I was very unimpressed by Vera's, they seemed to have some really nice dresses but the service was absolutely horrible. There are other ways to get a dress for a wedding, skip Vera's unless you like being treated like a bridal consultant's therapist--you have to make them feel good about selling you a dress instead of them really wanting to try to sell you one!

I was slightly overwhelmed when I went to Vera's. I would rather be able to sort through the dresses and look at them myself than have them brought to me one-by-one. I did receive good service and I ended up getting my dress here, which I was extremely happy with. I would recommend at least taking a look. It certainly good be the shop for you.

The one-on-one attention you receive at Vera's is unsurpassed by anywhere else I've been! They do everything for you, from assist in selecting your entire ensemble and coordinating attendant dresses, to carrying everything out to the car for you. I found my gown at other salons in the Milwaukee/Chicago area, but they charged $100 (or more) for professional pressing: something that's free at Vera's.They even trained my maid of honor and mom how to dress me without messing up my makeup! I recommend Vera's to anyone looking for true professionals to work with on the most important day of their lives.

This is the best bridal shop in Madison. I went to this place with my best friend for her wedding dress and got an excellent service. In this place you will have your own personal bridal consultant that will work one on one with you to pick your perfect bridal gown. Their consultant is fully trained and will answer all your questions patiently. After you select your gown, you will get the picture right away to take to the florist or just for sharing with family and friends. They also will give you complimentary checklist folder that will help you plan your wedding. When your gown arrive, you will be notified, they will inspect and make sure that the gown is in perfect condition. They have a pretty good price for their best service and to top of it, they offer 90 days free financing.
I really recommend this place, you won't be disappointed.

In my opinion, Veras is the best bridal shop in the Madison area. When you arrive for an appointment, you are given a bridal consultant who is able to provide great advice as to what styles will look best for your body type. The dressing rooms are huge and ideal for bringing friends and family along for their opinions. They have a great selection of dresses in all price ranges and will not show you a dress that is out of your budget. Veras also has a good selection of bridesmaids dresses, shoes, veils and accessories. You can find lower prices elsewhere, but their service is unmatched in the Madison area.
