If you want a super deal on local produce, this is the place to come. The prices are wonderful, as it is all local farmers selling their wares. Not only do they sell produce, the flowers are absolutely beautiful and a great deal as well.
You have a huge variety of vendors to choose from during the summer, but fall and winter sees less vendors. Still a great deal.

This is the place to go for in season fruits and vegtables. You will not find better tasting or less expensive treats. If you try to compage the kholarabi to anything yo find in a supermarket you will not even think it's the same vegetable. Also, if you are looking for any kind of fall squash - here you will find some you never heard of. The vendors will tell you the best way to prepare the food too. Some of the best orchards around town will bring their fresh picked apples to the market. You can't go wrong.

This market has a huge variety of produce from many different vendors. All of the produce is high quality and fresh. The prices are all very good and finding a bargain is not difficult. I am not really sure if it closed in winter, but I am pretty sure it is,but fall is a great time to get late season produce at a price that beats most grocery stores. Great way to support local and independent farmers.

PROS: large variety, high quality produce
CONS: they only take cash

I have been going to the Farmer's Market for a long time. If you like FRESH produce grown locally (most of it at least) and picked the day you buy it this is the place to be. In early Spring you can buy flowers for your yard and vegitable plants for your garden . As soon as the crops are available you can get the freshest produce in town. My favorite time of the year is when the first crops are ready for harvest and for sale. They usually go into Nov. with apples , potatoes , squash , and what ever else they have left. Fresh produce is best and this is the place to get it .

PROS: Great Fresh fruit and vegitables.
CONS: Fresh vegitables are not avaialble all year !

The West Allis Farmer's Market is a great place to shop for produce. There is always a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, plants, and honey. There are many farmers selling at this market. It is best to go early (they open at 1pm) for the widest selection and the freshest produce. We love this place and have a great time picking out new kinds of fruits and veggies.

West Allis Farmers Market is a favorite
stop of ours during the growing season.
We start out in early May buying plants for our home garden. There are vegetables and flower plants sold in flats. Some sellers offer pre-planted baskets that are just beautiful. In June
we find fresh eggs, strawberries, lettuce, potatoes and green house tomatoes. The Market becomes busier as gardens begin producing. It is a real pleasure to wander through those aisles and just smell what fresh really means.
In all of our years of shopping the market we have never met one unfriendly seller. They are all willing to offer advice and even a recipe. They stand behind what they sell too.
Its a great place to visit, and a great place to shop. Try It just once--you'll be back!!

PROS: Fresh Fresh Fresh produce
CONS: Open at 1:00, wish they opened earlier

Come on a Sunday for fresh fruits and veggies, live plants, fresh cider donuts and more!

Show up on a Saturday and you will get a little of the above but you will find yourself in the middle of a flea market!!!!
