We had our wedding reception at Roma Lodge in Spring of 2011. The food was good, but there were 3 mistakes that really stood out to me.

1) They had a new sound system installed in the smaller ballroom a couple weeks before our wedding. Two days before the wedding I tested stuff out and nothing was working right. They told me the sound system would be ready and fine for my simple entertainment of MC, piano, singer, and CD background music. Well, the background music didnt work until we were halfway done with dinner! And when it did work, it was terrible sound quality (fading in and out, static). The piano they provided was not hooked up to the speakers in the ceiling, so the piano/singer had poor sound quality. The only thing that worked was the mic. I requested all the technical things over a month in advance. The only technical thing that worked beside the mic was the projector, only because my cousin brought his nice one from work and set it up himself!

2) When we walked into the reception hall for our grand entrance, the lights and fountain for our head table were not lit and turned on! It was dead and dark! I was there early in the morning with the professional decorator, and the lights were on. Who turned them off before we entered!? I never found out. Can't believe they didn't catch that. And of course there was no music for our entrance since none of the staff their knew how to set up any of the audio equipment prior to the wedding reception. My guy put the CD in and nothing played. Luckily I had some loud people their to cheer so it wasnt too quiet walking in.

3) No coffee was served until midway through the dinner. Why? I dont know. I heard some guests later on saying they wondered why there was no coffee until so late.

The food is good, I'll give them that, but if you take this place, bring your own sound system! Their organizational skills are lacking, and the professionalism overall is subpar. I felt like my 2 ushers, groomsmen, and a couple guests were the ones doing all the problem solving since they had to figure our sound issues, turn the lights on, etc. When problems arose, it seemed like Roma Lodge wasnt there to help, or they had no idea how to resolve it.

Nothing is perfect, but this place had way to many mistakes for a banquet hall that hosts so many events and wedding receptions. As a result, I will never hold anything there again, and I cannot recommend it to anyone, unless they want Italian food to go.

they charge customers a 19% service charge and their servers only recieve 9% of the gratuity and they have to split it amongst all the servers!!!! they pocket the rest for their greedy selves. im sure all the customers think the servers receive the service charge but they dont, theybust their butts for that place for 5.00 an hour and split 9% of the service charge. its highway robbery, and ive NEVER heard of any other rest. keeping the servers money. so when you go to book your 8,0000 dollar wedding ask how much your server will receive, i can tell u its 400.00 split amongst 8 servers they DO NOT appreciate any one that works for them,

We had our reception and Roma Lodge. The staff was most accommodating and efficient. We had several special menu requests and decorating needs. All were handled well. Great food - Highly recommend

Roma lodge has a few reception halls within their facility. Each of the halls has a full bar that is optional with the hall rental. The rooms are clean and decorated nicely. Their linens are nice, as is their dinnerware and glasses. You can choose anything from a casual gather to elegant wedding reception, and they have the table settings to match.
Their catering menus have a very good variety, and I'm sure you would be able to find a great meal to fit any occasion. The food is consistently good. They will serve it either buffet style or with individual platings
