Taylor Books

This is a locally owned independent bookstore. They have a wide selection in stock, and they also offer special order service. They have a wonderful espresso bar, and invite you to sit at very comfortable tables and sample the books that interest you. There are special book signings and book clubs that meet there regularly. The only disadvantage is no provision for parking at all.

Taylor Books is Charleston's only independent bookseller. Taylor's is pleasing to the eyes, ears, and tongue. In addition to the lovely bookstore, they also have a cafe featuring live music every weekend, a collection of literary gifts and cards, and an art gallery annex showcasing local artists. Whether you are a local or visitor, you'll appreciate the comfortable and cool atmosphere of Taylor Books.
