Blue Moose is one of my favortie places to hang out in Morgantown. The atmosphere is relaxed, the coffee good, and the food tasty. A good place to sit and read or meet with friends, Blue Moose also has poetry readings and live music.

This is a fun spot to go and get a good cup of coffee. They also have a good selection of food including many vegetarian options. They host open mics here on Wednesdays and have art from local artists on display. They also host poetry readings on occasion and have other culturally relevant things going on.

Blue Moose Cafe has the best Breakfast and it is cheap. They have vegan, vegatrian, and regular fare. I love their toast. It sounds crazy but it is perfect.

One of the places I miss since moving from WV is Blue Moose Cafe, for one the atmosphere and also because of its excellent coffee. I have tried other coffee shops in NY (where I live now), but none compare to the Moose.
There are usually 4 blends of coffee a day, one decaf, one flavored, and two others. I don't know where they get their coffee, but it is to die for. I cannot find another cafe besides the Moose that will have pumpkin spice or hot butter rum coffee. However, it doesn't just end with regular coffee. You have to try the Mochalattes - more chocolatey than any others that I've had, plus the whipped cream and chocolate covered espresso bean garnish makes it more a treat! There are, however, other items to try as well. Like espresso? Blue Moose sells a "Depth Charge" which is a shot of espresso in your favorite coffee. I think you can get extra shots if you like that "buzz". Want something sweet? The Moose is selling milkshakes now (the espresso ones are the best), and they have a rotating selection of desserts, from tarts, to their sinful lemon bars and biscotti.
I have always been pleased with the service there, for the waitstaff and owners always greeted me with a smile and have always treated me ever so good!
The atmosphere in the Moose is quite eclectic - when you walk in you will think you walked into a 50's diner with the checkered floor and diner stools, but notice the artwork and decoupaged tables and you will notice that there is now classification for this cafe, nor any other like it. Do check out the tables - some have old newspaper articles, photos, even maps. Talk about coffee and your geography lesson on the spot!
The Moose is a popular place for those who need a place to study/do homework. I spent many days there studying and hardly got distracted. It's also popular among the gaming crowd, for I have seen/participated in RPGs held there.
Prices for beverages are between 1-4 dollars, and desserts between 1-3 dollars.

PROS: fantastic drinks, yummy desserts, calming/non-distractive atmosphere
CONS: none
