First, see the excellent review of Claudia T.; this is just a footnote to that.

I recommend their dinner menu much more than their lunch menu. For lunch, the entrees are limited and boring.

NOTE: They are about to change their lunch menu, so check it out and see if my concerns still apply. I now eat there only for supper.

Cleanliness is excellent.

Atmosphere is mostly excellent.

Your tastes might differ from mine, so take this with a grain of salt: I dislike the trite saxophone background music. I like their beef dishes, especially the London broil, the New York strip, and the filet, which is worth the high price. I'm still not sure about the chicken dishes. I tried the chicken jalapeno, and it had good flavor, including the chicken strips, but there was not enough chicken. I tried to stretch the chicken, but I still ran out of chicken long before I ran out of pasta. The salmon steak is great.

PROS: Dinners are substantial and good.
CONS: Occasional pesky flies.

Considering the few choices in this town, this is one of my favorites, especially for lunch. Their claim to fame has to be the crab cakes which are consistently delicious and always find their way onto my plate, whether in form of a sandwich as dinner! The location is somewhat inconspicuous on a narrow side-street, but the building has some interesting history and who knows, Charles Washington (George's brother) might even have slept here :-)!
The restaurant is quaint and seating is limited. It also has a bar which, under the previous ownership, had a tendency to get a little too noisy. When the restaurant shut down, that particular crowd moved on and doesn't seem to have returned since it's reopened under new management.
This is also one of the few places in town offering outdoor seating in a private, nicely landscaped side yard which is a great plus in my book. Service is good and the quality of food has improved under new management.
Especially great for an extended business lunch!

PROS: New owner, good selection of food, good atmosphere & outdoor seating.
CONS: Small dining area; old, historic building can be chilly during winter.
