Bid the job, started work, walked out after starting for a better project, and made excuses how all that was somehow MY FAULT! -- One star is too high of a rating, but the system won't let me give ZERO STARS

Perfection Painting painted our house in 2007. Looking back, we chose them primarily because of the owner's (Lee Cook) confidence. He did a great job of making us feel like he was the best in town, and that we should be afraid / concerned of any other lower bids, i.e. his bid was exactly "what it would take to get the job done right". It was because of this that we agreed to his premium price. The project took longer than expected and they did a pretty good, but not spectacular job. Working with the owner to resolve our minor concerns was met with an unprofessional, difficult attitude. He was not at all responsive and acted more like a moody chef / cranky artist -- "how dare we question his work" -- than a contractor. Upon completion of the project, we were hit with an invoice that contained lots of minor "extras" that we believe should have been included in the original price, or if additional, should have been disclosed to us in advance and prior to commencement of the project.

In summary, it was our opinion that Perfection Painting is overpriced and probably no better or no worse than other painters out there, the owner is just a better salesman, and difficult to work with if any problems arise. I wouldn't say they do bad work, but I wouldn't recommend them either.
