I am very upset !!! I was told when I dropped off my tower to get fixed (and told them the problem) I was told it was $60.00 and if it was more they would call me before they did anything.Well, that is not the case they called and told me it was fixed and the cost is $120.00.That is not good business.Don't tell me your going to to one thing then do another. Some how that sounds illegal to me.My mechanic wouldn't do that . DON"T DO BUSINESS THEIR THEY ARE CROOKS !!!!

When I took my laptop into the shop, I could barely get the attention of the rather plain girl at the desk. She would speak a few words, then stare into space. There was a loud buzzing coming from under the counter. I don't know what that was about. Finally the girl grunted like she'd been punched in the stomach, squirmed a little in her chair, and focused her eyes to look at me. The buzzing suddenly stopped. There was a sudden damp, fishy smell in the room. ?

I explained the problem with my computer... that it had been locking up, putting weird messages on the screen, and my antivirus programs would not even start any more. I was assured the problem could be fixed promptly, so I left the laptop at Computer Warehouse, even though I was offended by the sarcastic manner of the girl at the desk.

Despite daily phone calls from me, the shop had the computer for over six weeks, during which I was often rudely rebuffed, and when they finally told me it had been fixed, I showed up and was presented a completely different computer than the one I had dropped off weeks before. A man I had never met belligerently insisted the computer was mine. I was presented a bill for $1700, for various services of which I had never heard (I'm not a computer person) and rudely pressed for immediate payment. I protested, and attempted to boot up the "repaired" PC in the shop. The man started yelling and tried to prevent me from starting the laptop, continuing to demand my credit card or a check.

I left as quickly as possible, determined to see a lawyer immediately. The man followed me outside, still screaming, and hurled the laptop - which was not mine, remember - at my car, scratching the hood. I was very scared. I felt threatened. I drove away.

At this point I don't know what is going to happen. I've made an appointment with a lawyer and I'm considering calling the police. I have no idea how such a monstrous "place of business" can even keep its doors open. Stay away, for the safety of your wallet and your person.

There is no option for 'zero stars" so I regretfully award Computer Warehouse a mere one star.

I think that the other reviews were either written about another company or by a competitor. Computer Warehouse replaced the hard drive in my laptop. They had it fixed in less than 24 hours and were very friendly. I would have given them 5 stars, but I did have to take it back for a couple minor tweaks (which they fixed in a few minutes). Overall, I would highly recommend them. They are super nice & very fast!

These morons didn't tell me the motherboard they ordered for my laptop was on backorder untill the second time I stopped in there shop to find out what was taking so long (three weeks after I dropped it off). Then they tried to charge me a second time for the "diagnostic" of my computer. When I told the girl I had already paid for the "diagnostic" she replied "oh no, if you had already paid, I would have a copy of the recipet attached to my form here". They even threatned to call the police on my becouse I refused to pay a second "diagnostic" fee.

After reading the other reviews on here I was hesitant to go to Computer Warehouse but, they are very close to where I live so I thought I would give them a try. I had got a virus on my computer that would not allow me to open anything. I called Computer Warehouse and asked them a few questions about what I should do. The lady on the phone was very kind and answered every question I asked. Around 11:00 that day I dropped my computer off to have it looked at. Yet again, the lady was very kind and helpful to all of my needs. That same day I received a call for the store explaining to me what had happened to my computer and where I had picked the virus up. The technician answered all of my questions and was very friendly to talk to. The next day I picked my computer up. When I took it home it ran like new and all of my pictures and documents were still there. I would recommend Computer Warehouse to anyone and I will be a customer for life. The service was fast and friendly and contradicted all of the terrible reviews I've read. It is a great store.

Crappy excuse for a repair shop. Rude, arrogant f*&^kers. Go elsewhere. Not HERE! I wasted tons of money hoping to get my computer fixed and it screwed up soon as I got home with it and began to use it.

I had my Dell in for repairs in may of 2009. I had picked up what they tell me is spyware...i had fake anti-virus software loading up over and over. My computer was unusable. I talked to Wes at the computer warehouse, brought in my Dell on a Tuesday. Wes called me a few hours later and explained the problem and the cost of the repair..he was very nice. I'm not very computer literate and he explained the situation so that even I could figure it out!!! I okayed the repair, and the next morning they had me ready to go. Wes even helped me when I couldn't figure out how to hook it back up!!! I can't tell you how impressed I was. They are now my computer service store for life.

I'm starting to think the reviews on here are for the OTHER computer place in Kan. city, aka Computer Guy...I brought my laptop in to Computer Warehouse for a power pen issue on my hp laptop. I'd taken it 3 other places plus the Circuit City before they flopped over, and could get no one to do the job. I had low expectations after reading all these negative reviews, but rolled into CW and was totally surprised. Friend service the whole way, and the only technician in the county that will replace power pins. My computer was in and out in less the 24 hours and is running great. Highly recommended!

I messed up when i took my laptop to this place starting with the rudeness of the girl that answers the phone to being over charged and in general getting the run around.
I can't express how deeply terrible this place is.
I would not send my worst enemy to this place.

I had purchased a power adapter for my laptop elsewhere, but my computer still would not power up so I took it in to these guys. They replaced the replacement adapter & charged me $189! ($89 of that being the charge for the part, the rest "labor" of a whole 60 seconds or "work" to plug computer in). Also my screen would flop around when laptop was open & asked if they could fix it. They told me it would cost as much as a new computer to fix it. They acted as if I were an intruder instead of a customer, as well. When the screen got so bad it wouldn't stand up, I took it to Advantage Technologies on Quarrier St & they fixed it right away & charged FAR less for a lot more work. I have used Advantage Technologies twice & they are far more helpful, friendly & knowledgeable. I DO NOT recommend Computer Warehouse. Use Advantage Technologies instead, you'll be glad you did.

They do not wait on customers readily when you enter their shop. I found myself seeking out someone to help me. Then they act reluctant to provide information. The prices of small computer accessories are much higher than their competitors. They also make appointment to come to your house for computer repair and fail to show up. I tried hard to use them; because they are very close to my home. I would like to find a computer dealer and repairperson close enough to not require a lot of travel time, and they were a big disappointment.
