.

I joined Curves last year. It depended on who was working each day has how friendly the service was. I was going 3 or more times a week with a friend. She lived closer and was going just about everyday. I noticed flyers and posters places all over, even in the bathroom. Teach your children and grandchildren the importance of good health and fitness. One day I was supposed to meet my friend there, and ran into my daughter and her husband on her way for her chemo treatments, she ask if I could watch my granddaughter until she got back. No problem I was just going to Curves for half hour, she could go with me. She was 7 years old. I went in, signed in and had my granddaughter set down at a chair by the window out of everyones way. The place was full. As my friend and I started doing each routine, the lady that was working that day, came to the middle of the floor and stopped me in the middle of my exercise and told me that the little girl I brough in had to leave. I ask why. Everyone stopped and was listening. She explained she had a lady (well maybe not a good choice of word there) that was doing her exercises one day when another lady came in with her young daughter. The "lady" demanded the girl be removed from the building, as she was a teacher and didn't think it was right to for young children to be in there, and threatened to close her membership. ( I guess she didn't want anyone to see how fat she was) hey we were all there to try and lose a few lbs. right. I stopped my exercise, got my card out of the box and tore it up in little peices and tossed them on her desk and told her she needed to take down her posters and signs about teaching children the importance of good health. I walked out as everyone clapped. Everyone in there that day, said they had no problem with my granddaughter being there. My friend also stopped going, as did my two neices. They go to the one in Craigsville WV now. My granddaughter was embarassed and so was I.
