Not knowing much about flora, I didn't realize the exotic-looking orange flowers our cats had just eaten were lilies. When a friend gave the flowers to me, I simply put them in the fridge and forgot about them. A few days later, after they had wilted, my husband threw them in the trashcan. We woke up several hours later to discover that our two youngest cats had vomited multiple times.

After a phone call to my friend, we realized McCain and Norman had ingested one of the most toxic flowers known to felines - lilies. We rushed them to Gateway Animal Hospital and our boys were immediately taken in to see Dr. Drake. She and her staff were wonderful. They immediately began the active charcoal treatments to absorb the toxins and then flushed their kidneys by hooking them up to IVs. Our kitties stayed at Gateway for two days and left after their blood-work showed that their kidneys were functioning normally.

After a very unfortunate experience at our long-time veterinarian's several months before, we had been "auditioning" several local vets whenever one of our pets needed shots, etc. We found several competent folks, but no one we had really "warmed up" to. Now we have.

We originally went to Gateway because our cats needed immediate help and they were the closest office that was open at the time. Now we know it's where we'll stay. Dr. Drake was friendly, caring and professional. The staff was top-notch. And the cost was really reasonable.

Thanks for saving our Norm and McCain's life, Gateway staff!

Each day we visitedhis cage was filthy and so was he, I complained and they did clean it up but, the next day it was the same. Thank goodnesshe was only there 3 days.

Gateway Animal Hosptial is a very clean and caring animal hospital. They are as loving toward your pets as you are and treat each pet that comes in as if it were their own. They are courteous and caring to the humans that come in too. They take the time to explain everything and discuss your pets care with you.

As far as cost they are very competitive and reasonable. They are very good about holding checks if you have to pay in payments too. They are able to work with you so that no pet needs to go untreated.

I would recommend them to everyone and will always use them to for my pets.

PROS: Very knowlegeable and helpful.
CONS: Nothing.
