They installed a new carburetor on my truck and might have dropped something into the motor when they did it. When they started it, the motor blew up. I had what was supposed to have been a re-built motor installed next door at Cody Conoco. It appears to be a used motor rather than a rebuilt one. It had a major oil leak. Charles at Tech Cowboy after several visits and complaints 'fixed' the leak by installing a sleeve and a new seal. The only difference I could see was that the oil that was still leaking as bad as it was when they started, was cleaner because the did an oil change. Cody Conoco finally fixed the leak, for about 1/4 of what Tech. Cowboy charged for the same thing. Cody Conoco told me the new Holly carb. that Tech Cowboy installed wasn't working right so Tech. Cowboy installed another carb. which they couldn't get to work right and it leaked gas. They installed another carb. (two in the same week) and couldn't get it to run right. Their idea of keeping it from stalling was to set the idle at about 35MPH and it still stalled every time I took my foot off the gas. They also left several vacuum hoses off telling me they weren't needed. I took it to another mechanic who immediately told me it wasn't the right carb. for the motor. After the new mechanic worked on it he also told me Tech. Cowboy had the timing off by 14 degrees. They pretty much killed my truck. In my opinion, if you have any work done there, you better have a comfortable pair of walking shoes. I had to buy a new truck! And I'll never go back to Tech. Cowboy again!
