We visited last night. First salad with stale croutons. Salad dressing tasted from bottle. Food came out less one persons order. Ten minutes later it arrived burnt. We asked for meat sauce and saw no meat. The owner stopped by one to say sorry but avoided us rest of night. We had to beg to get our check adjusted for food that we could not eat!

Portabella's is a very fine Itialin restaurant, but do NOT go on the weekends, the wait can be over an hour and I dont think any place is worth that wait, the shrimp pasta is to die for and the free bread is very delicious. The only negative is the huge wait on Friday and Saturday, otherwise, I say give this place a try !!

I recently visited Portabella's, a locally owned Lexington restaurant, and immediately became a big fan. Their food is good and their complimentary bread is absolutely delicious. I love the atmosphere and the fact that they are rarely so crowded to the point that you have to wait for a table (a rarity in Lexington, particularly on weekends!). Pricing and menu selection is comparable to Olive Garden.

This is a great local restaurant that I would highly recommend!

PROS: Great food, great complimentary bread, good service, locally owned
CONS: Salads are a little on the small side
