Neuter you dogs!
by Nicole b.
I have been bringing my dog to the millbrook exchange park since he was 3 months old. I'd like to think I'm a responsible dog owner, i walk him before we go to the park, so he's not so full of energy and other dogs may take that the wrong way. I have never had a problem with him being aggressive or dominant. He is now almost 2 years old. He also has been attacked twice at the dog park. The first time was an un neutered male pittbull and recently again it was an un neutered male pitt mix. Please people, if your just taking your dog to the park to get out its energy, make sure your male dogs are neutered! This will prevent many fights! I'm just lucky my dog is 80 lbs and can defend himself. I literally had to get someone to pick my dog up in the air and someone else hold the other dog on the ground to get him off my dog. If you're not an experienced dog owner, don't go to the dog park and please pay attention to your pet at all times!

My dog loves it
by Anonymous
I am so happy to have found a place for my dog to be a dog. It was great! My dog is seven month and very hyper. He needed the "Big" dogs to show him how to be a dog. When we left the park he slept all day long. He was able to run free and enjoy him self. THANKS!!

Millbrook Exchange Park is a wonderful place for dogs to run around without leashes. Plus, it's a great place to meet other dog owners. The enclosed area is an "off-lease" dog park covered with wood chip mulch. Lights come on around dusk and remain on until 10:00 p.m. for safety and security. If you have a small or elderly dog, you can separate him/her from the larger dogs by using the "Small Dog Park" area. There is a double-entry gate system to separate the "Small Dog Park" from the "Large Dog Park." Female dogs in heat are not permitted to use the dog park (because it might lead to fights/territorial agression between the male dogs). There are several other rules that the park has (your dog must have a rabies shot, no spike collars, dogs are not allowed to dig holes in the ground, etc.). These rules are posted at the entrance to the park. Definitely recommended.

Millbrook Exchange park recently opened an outstanding off-leash dog park. There is a large fenced in area for big dogs and a good sized one for smaller dogs. In between the two is a picnic area with shade. There are doggie waste bags everywhere and everyone cleans up behind their dogs. Recently a water main was installed so the dogs have constant access to water. It is open from sunrise until the park lights are turned off at night. Not only is it a great place for dogs to socialize and play, the people there are more than happy to have a conversation with newcomers.
