I find some of the stores are better than others; the one on Rte 30, for instance, is much nicer than the one on Calumet. Some stores also have a much greater selection than others. Their produce, for the most part, is very good. One writer stated their strawberries are always moldy. Once in a while, you will find a moldy strawberry in any store. They aren't ALWAYS moldy. My goodness. My beef is the checkers are too friendly. They talk and chat with the customers and if you are in a hurry, you need to cool your heels while they drone on and on. Also, if I buy a newspaper, the checker never fails to stop to read the headlines. Don't know why, but that is a pet peeve of mine. Other than that, I have never, in my 28 years of shopping there, had a bagger expect a tip, but I have always gladly given them one. WW employs other-abled individuals and this is a good way for them to earn money. Why be so cheap with them? Anywhere else in the USA you shop, you carry out your own bags. They are providing a service. I will also say the store on Calumet is disgraceful. The roof leaks and you can see pails all over the store when it rains. They should fix it up, I'm sure the Weiss family has enough money to do it. Your other alternative for shopping is Town and Country. Every time I go in there, it smells. Go by the meat or fish counters and you will have to hold your nose.
I'd recommend shopping at Wiseway. They are customer oriented and if, perchance, you get a moldy strawberry - take it back. They'll give you a new container of non-moldy ones.

with the high prices and the lowest quality of food life, I wouldn't shop here. It seems every time i want strawberries, they only have moldy ones. The price are becoming ridiculous. I can go shop at Kroger,Meyers,Walmart and pay half and still get more. Those bagger always expect a tip when they take out a small order, but when I have a big order I have to take it out myself

WiseWay on US 30 has the best produce in Northwest Indiana. They usually have crunchy peppers and excellent kiwi fruit. The produce employees are also very studly.
They also have very clean restrooms and the toilet paper is always full thanks to Mr. toilet paper fillerupper man. The janitor cracks me up everytime I go shopping there.

PROS: produce, employees
CONS: same music over and over everytime I shop

They have a great selection of fruits and vegetables. Their prices arent that bad either. They dont have a lot in the baby food department though and that makes me have to go somewhere else to get my sons food.

I love this grocery store. They are a little bit high priced, but they have excellent produce! Always fresh and a huge selection. If I'm looking for something out of the ordinary, I can usually find it here! Definitely worth checking out and I run in often for essentials. . .

PROS: Fresh Produce
CONS: Higher priced than other local stores
