Douglas Katsev

As a LASIK patient of Dr. Katsev's I can't say enough good things about him or the results on my procedure. Not only was the procedure as quick and painless as promised, the follow up care was also excellent. I am very satisfied with this procedure and would encourage anyone seeking to rid themselves of glasses or contacts to consider Dr. Katsev.

I've had several appointments with Dr. Katsev over the years. When other eye doctors could not help me, Dr. Katsev could. He is intelligent, educated, extremely knowledgeable and professional. He is also a very nice person who is understanding of your eye ailments and questions. Once when I was very nervous about a procedure, Dr. Katsev reassured me that it would be fine and it was, with no pain.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Katsev, an excellent opthamologist. He also performs Lasik surgery. His office is very large and busy, because others have found him to be a terrific opthamologist as I have.

Public parking is available next to his office, which is upstairs.

PROS: Excellent professional and gentle eye care.
CONS: appointments are scheduled pretty far out.

I've been seeing Katsev now for almost a year for chronic chalazions (blocked oil ducts in the eyelid). He would do steroid injections that would seem to help for a while and then pop up again. Oh well. He kind of has an arrogant personality, but I guess it's because he knows what he's doing (or maybe not). He owns the Laser Eye Care Center and is supposed to be one of the top ranked centers for corrective eye surgery. Perhaps that's worth looking into.
