Awesome place! You won't find anyone better than Dr Olds and Dr martin! I wouldn't take my dog to anyone else. If you have pets I highly recommend taking them there!

I walked in. 4 women sitting at long reception table.

Not one of them said hi. One gives me a clipboard.

Very cold, very icy.

Loud reception area with no cat/dog separation.

EXCELLENT DOCTOR! Dr. Martin is brilliant. I will be ensuring that the office staff knows not to be cold and diss attitude to paying patients. Their job is to welcome people, not make them feel like they are doing us a favor. America: unite and don't take rude service.

We have been taking all 4 of our dogs to see Dr Kim C. for years.One of our dogs became seriously sick with a mysterious illness, that's what she called it. In our conversation she told us that she was no longer a senior partner, her husband was not working, and she wanted more children. All this while we are trying to find out what is wrong with our beloved pet. According to her it was a mystery! She took blood work back in June and told us it was normal. Nothing is wrong. By Christmas our Dog was dead. She died in my arms. I wish this on no one. To have your baby girl sick for all that time and dying the way she died is like the Holocaust.We retrieved the lab work from Brentwood and took it to another Vet and she told us that our Dog died of renal failure. This should have been caught in June and our Dog would have been alive today.

We've been taking our dog here for years and have never had anything but loving service. We have never received an upsell. Just wanted to balance our experience out with some of the negatives on this site. Our doctor is Dr. Thorrens, and Dr. Olds performed a surgery to remove a tumor hat was bleeding last year. Like I said, positive experiences.

The vets are rushed and seem completely disinterested in your animal. (I saw Dr. Martin and Dr. Thorrens). The waiting room is chaotic. The vets are rushed and seem disinterested in your animal. More interested in rushing you out with prescriptions that only THEY CAN FILL and charge ridiculous fees. Any recheck for the same problem is charged and if the recheck is after one month, you are charged for an INITIAL VISIT which is expensive. Compassion and caring for your pet is absolutely not evident. (Dr. Martin & Dr. Thorrens). I could even live with that if they practiced could veterinary care. They do not. DO NOT GO THERE.

My dog has had a lot of trouble lately, but Dr. Thorrens and everyone at Brentwood have been amazing. I don't feel like I'm getting an upsell, sometimes I'm not even charged at all. It's been a difficult time for us and I'm glad we've had them around. I wish my Doctor was this good.

Dr. Olds is a Board Certified Surgeon of over 30 years who not only is a dynamic surgeon but an intuitive and caring Vet who understands the suffering and recovery process of a pet and their owner.

I highly recommend Dr. Olds and BPC.

When you've seen Vet Hospitals that take advantage of a dire situation and have no sense of intuition and empathy, you see a company out to steal your money because it is their business first. When you've seen this then you realize what an oasis Dr. Olds is.

I took my dog there because she was suddenly catatonic. Dr. Thorens said she probably had dog flu, and kept her there overnight, not doing an ultrasound until the next day. Then they discovered she had a bleeding growth on her spleen. They did surgery to remove it, but by that point she was too weak and had a heart attack. I was charged over $3,000, including a biopsy - for a dog who had died! (The biopsy showed that it wasn't cancerous, so she could have recovered).I realize now that if I had taken her to ASEC (which, by the way, is much better than California Animal Hospital) she would probably be alive. They do not have the facilities to handle emergencies.

We have been going there since 1966 when Dr Sprowl was there. Dr. Olds and Dr. Martin are the most knowledgeable, kind and honest veterinarians we have used. Most of the employees are very long term, the office is always clean and everyone is very caring.

The knowledge that Dr. Olds and Dr. Martin have can't be found anywhere else. (I've been to quite a few) The only problem is some of the secretarial staff, they don't know the first thing about animal care. Laurie is great and a blessing to Brentwood. So if you want the "BEST" for your cat or dog and can stomach the prices, go here, your pet will get the best care and you'll get honest answers. I can only imagine the naysayers on this group have only had one experience with the group. I've been going here for over 20 years!

Save your money and find a real vet. I worked there and was shocked at the filth. Surgical packs placed on a dirty floor after being sterilized. People being told to put their beloved pets down when there was and are alternative treatments for some. A client came in when their dog vomiting blood in the waiting room. He was told to wait....mean while behind the scenes the vet sat at her desk reading people magazine saying he didn't have an appt. Yet no other appointments were scheduled at the time. The magazine was far more important than the dog. She left him sitting there for 45 min. The horror situations that went on there. The unspeakable degrading treatment of their employees.

I was told by one of the vets here to put my dog down as he has chronic liver disease and he said the end was imminent. Cut to: 3 months later, the dog is fine with the help of a homeopathic vet. Thank god I didn't listen to Brentwood's advice or I could never have lived with myself knowing my dog had alternatives.

I find this clinic pricey as well, but aren't they all these days? Find a good homeopathic vet, they are far more reasonable and remedies are inexpensive. Western medicine is good for only one thing: diagnostics. What you do with the information afterwards can be more cost efficient and healthier for your pet.

Unfortunately, Brentwood has sold out to corporate interests, and the pricing reflects it. While the entire staff are second to none, the company has been put under a "for profit at all costs" mentality, and I will no longer (after 25 years, 6 dogs and countless references which I will be taking back) be using their services. Apparently the publicly traded company that now owns Brentwood is trying to mimic VCA, and turn your pets care into a profit margin. As an MBA I understand their business model, but these suits just don't get us pet owners, and I'm not going to help them by explaining their mistake here. I hope their venture fails and returns veterinary care to the well balanced service industry that it has been for many years.

This is an amazing place, with very experienced doctors (Drs. Olds and Martin are both excellent) and a very caring staff. Dr. Martin quickly diagnosed my dog's problem, after vets at a different hospital took my $$$, performed numerous, intrusive tests and were clueless. The staff at Brentwood Pet Clinic went out of their way to help me and be supportive even before I came in to see a Dr. Highly recommend.

I had to kiss a lot of toads before finding a wonderful vet - Dr. Martin at Brentwood Pet Clinic. His partner, Dr. Bob Olds, ain't too shabby either. ;) The staff is friendly and caring. Dr. Martin and Dr. Olds are on top of the latest and greatest medicine for your pets and their charges are reasonable. They return phone calls promptly and aren't prima donnas like some other vets I've met. With three dogs and three cats plus assorted rescue fosters, I'm there a lot, and I always feel like I'm getting the best care I can for my family. I've referred several friends and they've all been happy.
