Daphne Miller & Avril Swan, MD's

Avril Swan and Daphne Miller are great doctors. I have seen them both, and they are kind, smart, and really take the time to listen. Their cute office in Noe Valley is comfortable and inviting. Both my kids actually don't hate going to the doctor!

I can't say enough about Dr. Daphne. Not only is she a fantastic doctor, but a really great human being. She take whatever time is necessary with all her patients. She cares, she is smart and she is conservative about prescribing drugs. Not only am I her patient , but so is my 85 year old mother, who adores her. If you are sick and tired of the way healthcare has become, go see Daphne she will be like a breathe of fresh air.

PROS: Personal, informed and highly effective health care
CONS: She will spoil you so you wont be albe to tolerate other health care profs.

These two doctors (Daphne Miller & Avril Swan) have done something very unusual. They're running their practice without the support of medical insurance reimbursements. In other words, they are not under contract with any medical insurance program (other than medicare). They make home visits and see patients in their cozy offices for visits that last as long as they need to, not as long as the insurance company demands.

Dr. Miller is funny, nice, a great listener, a knowledgeable physician and plain good person. There is no pretension about her and for those of us in Noe Valley, we know her as neighbor as well as a physician. The office provides the full spectrum of adult and pediatric care. They rule!
