What a wonderful, caring, doctor. I would highly recommend him. He took his time and asked many questions. I actually felt comfortable coming out of that office and feel as though he is ordering test that need to be done. I had a complete physical at my first visit. Wow. Thank you

I had the same primary care physician for 18 years. When he recently was killed in an airplane accident, I needed to find another physician to care for me. I have a complex medical case, which makes this task even more difficult. After several unhappy visits with other doctors, my mom suggested I give hers a try. I am very happy that I did. Dr. Piccione is like a good, old-fashioned doctor. He listens, he cares, he takes time with his patients and makes me feel important. He's also very intelligent and has a lot of medical knowledge. When there is something he doesn't know about (my muscular dystrophy, for instance), he isn't afraid to ask or search the Internet for answers.

I believe Dr. Piccione is a 5-Star World Class physician; however, I've only given him a 4-Star Very Good rating because his office staff can be a bit ditzy. Since Dr. Piccione's group practice is owned by Highlands Regional Hospital, they hire his staff. Dr. Piccione is only allowed to choose his personal nurse, who is excellent.

PROS: Dr. Piccione listens, cares and takes time with his patients.
CONS: The office staff.
