I do not know much about the Queen Anne location however the Ballard/Crown Hill location is one I would never recommend!

I found out from some employees that not only do they not follow your directions and concerns for your child's nutrition they feed them whatever they want, even if you provide your child's lunch.
I asked the teacher why they were not feeding my child the food I had provided and she simply said, "Because the other employees like to see the faces made when infants are given a food for the first time." I could not believe this!

I also found that they have been taking infants to the toddler room without permission.
Taking pictures of children without consent.
I even found a complaint filed for the breach of safety for the children.
A child, so the report said, "Got loose" from the outdoor play area and was found by a total stranger by a near by busy street!

My son had been going for a year now. he was going parttime with another daycare in Magnolia which was really bad. My son was unnhappy in that place in Magnolia.
My 2 year old is also very attached to mommy and everytime I leave him, he cries for a few minutes but the teachers go out of their way to calm him down. he loves his friends there, they play a lot, have dancing, arts, music, which is very important for me. I really appreciate the Center's friendly staff and you know they are very well-meaning to the kids' wellfare. When we walk in they know the names of every kid in both locations. The owner is also very accessible and understanding.
The only reason I give it 4 stars is the fact that they are transitioning in spring wherein the schedule will be 8-5pm, I certainly hope they will add another hour.

The owner is rude and talks down to her staff and parents. The staff are not well-supported and seem to be afraid of her. There are issues with safety that go un-cared for: open doors and gates, broken equipment, wet floors, hot stovetops within reach, open standing water, no security on entryways... My child was here for four months while I waited for a better facility. Her teacher is what made it bearable. She was so sweet and caring. I hate that she gets no respect there. When I spoke up about the concerns I was spoken down to like a child. I can't understand how this place is still in business.

I searched high and low for affordable child care. I live on capitol hill and I drive out to Queen Ann to drop my son off every Friday. I was able to get him in right away (no waiting list) I was also able to sign him up for just one day a week (can't find that anywhere) I pay $65 a day for him to be there! He love its! Talks about his friends and his teachers all week!
Absolutely love Eric, one of the teachers.

My son started at the location in Crown Hill when he was 3 months old. Between that time and when I took him out, about 14 months later, he had about 8 different teachers. The moment you would start to feel comfortable with the person caring for your child, they were gone. Nobody picks up the phone if you call to check on your child - and worse, the owner doesn't return phone calls. This is not a slam on the teachers, most were great, just under-appreciated.

This is a very well run daycare that's somewhat hard to find in Seattle anymore. It seems like all the good daycares are full and have waiting lists, but when we found this one we were surprised to be able to get right in, which was amazing because they are one of the best that we've seen. They do all sorts of activities and games with the kids. The ladies that work there are super nice and helpful. We were really nervous about leaving our son, but they really eased our concerns and he really likes going!

PROS: clean fun environment
CONS: none

My son and I moved to Queen Anne and needed a daycare so I could work. It was a very hard decision to make as to where my son would be spending his days. I toured Cosmo kis second out of four facilities. This was by far the best one. Cosmo kids is privately owned and operated in two Queen Anne houses that have been remodeled to fit the daycare needs. They provide and safe, home kind of environment for my son to this day. He has been going there for over two years and will stay here until he goes to Kindergarten.
