5 Stars: I love this place! (by Andrea B.)

Sea is incredible! I absolutely love the food here. The lettuce wraps (rolls?) are amazing, and their chicken-pineapple fried rice is SO good. And such a large portion you'll be eating it for days. It's a great and fun place for big groups of people so you can all sit around and see one another across the table. The decor is really pretty, too. A definite yes for me!

4 Stars: A beautiful place for a good meal (by talia j.)

The decor at Sea, the brooklyn cousin of Spice, has always been the main draw for me. The food is pretty standard, but reliable. The curry puffs are addictive and the soups are super filling. This is a great place to take out of towners, while the seating area is dramatic and "so new york," the staff is super efficient and not one ounce snobby. The brunch special, with soup or salad gets rid of any hangover. Being at Sea is kind of like being in a really well catered music video.

4 Stars: Highly recommended (by Meg G.)

A great place for a date or group of friends. Great ambiance with a lake and water lillies in the center of the room. Big bang for your buck. The prices are very low, especially for the city. Great Thai food.

4 Stars: Super-cool restaurant/lounge (by Kelly O.)

Sea has acheived a love-it-or-hate-it status amongst Brooklyn-ites. Those who see the over the top decor, complete with Buddha statue, pond with lillies, and 70's bubble chairs, think it's trying to cater to the Manhattan crowd by being too 'cool,' while it's food is only ok. I disagree. The place is loud and the minimalist wooden chairs aren't the most comfortable, but the food is cheap. And not-so-bad. Superior, I think, to that other Williamsburg haunt, Planet Thai. The noodle dishes are ridiculously cheap given the size, and the drinks (I recommend the ginger martini) are just inventive enough to go with this crazy place. Make sure to use the bathroom while there, to see the video monitors in each stall showing views of the restaurant. Because it's loud, it's not a good date place, but for groups, it's excellent. Reservations are always a good idea here.

PROS: good food, good prices
CONS: uncomfortable seats, can get loud
