A lot of planning went into this place. Loads of natural light & earthy colors. The cutest children's section: fake trees, painted wildlife, books for all ages. I have scored some great finds at their used book store.
Movies are free or $1.00 to rent.
Family friendly atmosphere. Large parking lot. Great staff.
PROS: Good selection of books in a wide variety of subjects
CONS: Some subjects are lacking in good, current books

This place has it all: NY Times bestsellers & reference guides, magazines, novels, self-help manuals, children's books, biographies, videos (+ DVDs), computers, and so much more! The kid's section has it's own bathroom + 'mommy' room (changing table, etc.). There's even a small park outside!
PROS: clean, baby/kid-friendly, plenty of books, DVDs, videos, audio CDs
CONS: hours are NEVER long enough!

Buena Vista Library is one of my favorite libraries in Los Angeles County. I love the book selections and the atmosphere is wonderful. I like bringing my nephews here because they enjoy it as well. The staff here is wonderful and very helpful. The library is very clean and the books are well organized.

Although the Buena Vista branch of the Burbank Public Library has a great selection of books, its glory is in the recently-completed park that sits on the library's grounds. Very green and featuring a section of playground toys for the kids, the largepark is used both by families and readers enjoying its peaceful atmosphere. Aesthetically speaking, this is probably the nicest park in the Burbank area.
