I bought my Toyota Prius in 2009 at another dealerhip but it was too far for service. I tried Power Toyota of Irvine. I have been going there since then, every six months.

Every single time I have gone there, the service has bee amazing.

Don't waste your times with these crooks. Their internet quotes are $1000 more than any one else. They do not want return customers....they just want to rip you off for every penny and then push you out the door. I complained to Toyota

I was very impressed by Bill Gordon who took excellent care of me. They seem honest and helpful. If you are in a hurry, tell them. They do the best to get your car ready quickly while you wait. It has happened to me many times and they did

My car had always been taken care by my brother, a Toyota technician for the corporate Toyota in Torrance. Since my brother moved, I had to take my car to my local Toyota service center in Irvine. I totally agree that this place is full of crooks. After couple times of oil change in this place, I didn't go to any other garage to have oil change, but only Power Toyota in Irvine. My brother looked at my car again when I visited him. He saw that the oil filter these people put into my car was not genuine Toyota parts, it was probably after-market filter. I was so disappointed and called the service dept to complain. They of course denied about it. My brother works with Toyota parts everyday, how would he not recognise which one is the genuine Toyota parts? I highly doubt the honesty of this service dept of Power Toyota in Irvine. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Another thing annoys me is that their survey team is very demanding and impolite. They try every channel to get the response from you about their service. It's very obvious that they are having a big issue in improving their services.

Beware!! I had my Highlander in for regular service and maintained my vehicle to the dot when it came to maintenance schedules! More than once, the techs misdiagnosed my car and, in my opinion, created issues that didn't exist.

Toyota mechanics are paid by the "hour" each job takes per the book they bill by. This means that their paychecks depend on how many "hours" they have on the books. In other words, the more work on your car they do, the more "hours" they'll get and the bigger their paycheck will be. Be very aware of this, as they will claim your car needs work done just so they can get a bigger paycheck.

I take my car to an independent mechanic now and have not had a single problem.

I took my Prius here to get an oil change after getting a coupon in the mail for a discount. After leaving the dealership and making another stop for groceries, a warning light came on. I took the car back to Power Toyota. First they claimed I had put diesel in my car instead of unleaded gas. They said they would drain the tank the next morning because it was almost closing time. I then found out the station I had bought gas from did not even sell diesel! Angry with Power Toyota's incorrect diagnosis, I called the next morning when they suddenly changed the diagnosis to an electrical problem that would cost over $600 to fix. I was about to pay them the money to fix it until I read another review online where someone had a similar problem with oil change then warning light from this SAME dealership. I decided I would not let them touch my car. I picked it up the next day, and mysteriously the warning light had disappeared. My car is running perfectly and continues to have no problems 1 month later. I will never take my car to this dishonest dealership again for service.

We had such a positive experinece at this dealership. We were always treated with respect and never felt pressured. WE had the best sales person ever - NICK! If you go, ask for Nick...he's really great! We felt that in the end we got the car we wanted for a fair price.

Pros: Nick, the sales guy, selection of cars, customer service

Cons: there was food in the lobby, but you had to pay for it!

I found the used car I wanted online and called early Wednesday morning to make an appointment to see/buy the car. I even confirmed in an email that I was looking forward to coming in after work. The Salesman was very friendly and let me know how I could find him when I got in. My appointment was for 6pm but I arrived a little before 5:30pm. Not having a car of my own, my husband picked me up from work to take me. The salesman greeted us right away and as we walked outside to view the car, informed us that some other woman was going to buy the car but wasnt sure if her credit was good enough. We saw the car, took it for a test drive, fell in love with it and hurried back to start the loan process. Sure enough right when we got started the salesman tells us the other woman had passed credit and she got the car. I felt like someone had punched me in the stomache. I know they cant hold cars for people, but it would have been nice if he had called to tell me that there was someone interested in it. It would have been nice if he hadnt shown us the car when someone else was already in the middle of buying it. I left and cried in the car on the way home. The only good thing about the experience was the salesman was kind and he didnt try to push another sale on me when he saw my dissapointment.

GO HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I took my 2001 Toyota Camry in to Power Toyota's service center to get an oil change. After they completed the oil change the service advisor claimed there was transmission fuel leaking and oil leaking in my vehicle and said it would cost $375 to repair. I told them I would consider it but elected not to get the service. Moments later I received my camry and drove home. Within the next few days the "CHECK" indicator on my Camry's dashboard went on. According to my vehicle's manual the instructions for the "CHECK" indicator are to take my vehicle to a Toyota service center. I asked my dad (CalTrans Technician) about the problems Power Toyota reported about my vehicle and he instructed me over the phone how to check for leaks. There was no evidence of any leaking and all the camry's fluid levels were within tolerance. Upon my check I found that 2 tubes were disconnected under the hood of my car. These tubes could not have been dissconnected on their own, it would take a screw driver and someone to hand torque it off. I reattached the 2 tubes, unplugged my car battery, turn it back on and the "CHECK" indicator no longer appeared on my dashboard, meaning these 2 dissconnected tube were the cause. Nobody except myself has access to my car, I strongly believe Power Toyota intentially miss-handled my vehicle so I would take my vehicle back to them to get service.

BBBureau gave there service center a F, there lowest rating.

Unbelievably pushy. Visited 4 times over a 3-year period while researching cars (guess I kept hoping to find a reasonable salesman). One salesman walked so close to me as I browsed the vehicles that I got scared. My husband told him to back away from me. He then walked even closer, with his body touching my back as I practically ran back into the building. He was almost on top of me! He only left when I asked the receptionist to get the Manager immediately; when we told the Manager what the creep was doing, his response was along the lines of "he shouldn't have done that, what car do you want to buy".

Our other visits were similarly pushy.

This place is just offensive on every level. From the corral they create at the front door (3-4 employees stand at the front door and you are not allowed to browse without a salesman accompanying you) to the insane pricing, they should be put out of business.

Teach dealerships a lesson! Vote with you feet!

(We bought our fully-loaded Prius from Hollywood Toyota, by the way.)

A few months back my husband and I were visiting my parents in Orange County when the warning light on our Toyota came on. We didn't want to make the hour and a half drive back home with the warning light on, so we took to car to Power Toyota. It was a Saturday morning and they fit us in without an appointment, and had the car fixed by that night. The repairs department seemed well organized and clean, and the workers polite. We breathed easier driving home knowing that the problem was resolved.

The sales person who helped us was very nice. It was his first week on the job so there were some questions he didn't know how to answer. But we understood, and he was nice. We had done a lot of research on the car we wanted, so we were pretty much ready to buy. So we sat down with him and the finance guy to negotiate. Everything went well... but the finance guy kept on pushing us towards a lease. We didn't want to lease the car and we explained this to him but he didn't listen. 1st mistake! We couldn't agree on this, and we couldn't agree on a price.

Then he walked away and brought back an Asian guy (2nd mistake). They proabbly thought to handle Asian customers, they need an Asian sales person. Well, that's what cost them a sale. This guy was rude and obnoxious. He kept on refering us as his "Asian bro and sister." He was so unproffessional and condecending. In fact, he made us feel like we weren't good enough to buy the car and that he was helping us because we were "family." Like his behaviour wasn't bad enough, even threw in some racist comments. At the end, we decided it was not worth our time and energy. We walked out.

We both have been in sales before, so we understand how hard sales position is. But we also know how not to make customers feel unwelcome and unimportant. And for a company that advertises their low price and their customer service, they should really train their employees.

I bought my Tacoma here a couple of years ago and the lot was huge so there was a great selection of brand new trucks. My truck is under warranty so I've brought it back a few times and have always gotten timely service, however the last time I broughtit in for the 60,000 and they didn't even bother to wash it and I noticed a few dings in the interior that hadn't been there before so I was a little disappointed in the service but for the most part have had good experience here.
