I love having a Barnes and Nobles bookstore and all the other shops so close by. It's fun to be able to go there and ramble around on the weekend.
5It sure as heck beats going to Barrett Parkway during the holidays. We like to have date nights and go to Ted's. Then we walk around the shops such as Kirkland's and Victoria Secret. This is a very nice place. Not many places around here offer dining AND the ability to walk to shops without getting run over!

West Cobb continues to grow yet somehow, the demographic information being supplied to retailers still prohibits the growth needed in the area leaving it underserved. Where is Williams-Sonoma? JCREW? Pottery Barn? Janie and Jack? It is a glaring absence, one the community is craving to be filled.

I don't really like the cookie cutter gentrification thing very much, but since there was nothing in this particular spot to begin with it's alright i guess. They have some cute shops, and boutiques to look around in. It helps I think because there is absolutely nothing else to do in that part of town. The only thing decent about cobb county is Marietta Square in my opinion. Sad but true. The avenue though is just a block of shops put together, that works like an outdoor mall, and made to resemble a cute town square. Pretty cool.

The Avenue of West Cobb is a nice new shopping center in Marietta. I like the Avenue because it is more convenient than going all of the way to the mall, but it still has all of my favorite stores- Ann Taylor Loft, Barnes and Noble to name a few. The parking is convenient and there are many shops and restaurants to visit.

This is a great "open air mall" (ie: strip mall) with a great variety of stores. They also have plenty of resturaunts, public restrooms, and a Starbucks (inside Barnes & Nobles). Currently the stores include:
American Eagle, Ann Taylor Loft, Aspen's Signature Steaks/Theo's Brother's Bakery, Aveda Lifestyle Salon, Barnes & Noble, Bombay, Chico's, Cold Stone Creamery, Coldwater Creek, Jos. A. Bank, Kay Jewelers, Linens 'N Things, Liz Claiborne Shoes, Romano's Macaroni Grill, Select Comfort, Simply Supper (Fall '05), Stride Rite, Sunglass Hut, Swoozie's, Talbots, Ted's Montana Grill, White House/Black Market, Sharper Image
