Although my stay here was pleasant, because my friends & I had a blast together, I was a little disappointed with the hotel overall.
The service was nice, but I feel as though it wasnt 5 star status.
The gym had a certain smell to it.

Big dissapointment for a hotel with it's 5 star namesake in Asia. For what they charge for the rooms the level of services definitely is underwhelming and does not commiserate with anything close to what they offer in Asia especially Hong

If you like to take an Americanized afternoon tea (with sweets) in a posh environment of light couches with a harp in the background, this is your place. You pay a premium for the ambiance and some unique touches to the menu, but the experience is top notch. The only part I found disappointing was the lack of variety of teas that some other tea houses provide.

I think that the service is what sets this apart. I feel that the service at the Peninsula surpasses most other properties. Our room was not ready when we arrived. The hotel gave us another room to use (we had young children) until our room was ready. This just does not happen at other hotels.

My wife and I looked at the hotel as a potential location for our wedding. Our contact there was 20 minutes late for our appointment, and she immediate ran off to work right after she said hello. It was an embarrassment.

I stayed here for three nights and I found my suite very clean and the bathrooms were HUGE! The room service ice cream was delicious, while most of the other meals were not the greatest. Checking in was a breeze with good customer service.

Again, this hotel is a huge disappointment, don't think the Spa is going to be any different. First, for whatever reason they have only one person at the front desk. It would be logical to have two at all times. So, you have to wait

For a hotel that has such great quality throughout the rest of the U.S. This one drops the ball on many levels. For starters if you are needing a car service outside of their driving perimeter, you need to get a taxi. Taxis take for

There is a reason Travel and Leisure called this hotel the Best in America! From its crisp elegance to its impeccable decor, The Peninsula is an oasis in the arid desert of LA.

The staff will ensure that no need goes unmet, the spa will help you unwind and beautify and the Belvedere, the Peninsula's restaurant, gives new meaning to the word "art" - now it is edible!

The linens are engraved with repeat guests' initials and you are always greeted by name, but not in an overbearing, annoying way. No wonder this is where JLo hid after she and Ben broke up and the likes of Mischa, Paris and today's hottest, hippest can be found in the bar. At the Peninsula, everyone's a celebrity!

PROS: Staff, Service, Food, Decor, Hospitality

It is appalling to find this great hotel not even listed on the editorial board for Citysearch/LA, or in the top ten of reader's choices. I've stayed in every hotel on that top ten list for LA (many of them fine hotels, to be sure), but
