I have been coming to Tully's here for years - all different times of the day & week, various Seattle locations.
This morning, I was approached by Rachel (& later her co-worker). She had never spoken with me before, since both mornings when I greeted her, she simply stared back at me. Today, she informed me that, since I had not purchased anything while there yesterday, I was not welcome to use the internet.
I explained my dietary restrictions, whereupon she became very rude. She & her co-worker stood over me, repeating themselves, as I was preparing to depart. They simply would not stop antagonizing me, even though I was clearly leaving.
A simple, kind invitation to purchase a cup of tea, as the policy has apparently changed, would have been effective!
I work 3 jobs due to the need to pay high taxes lately - a result of the increase in the nat'l debt & consequent aggression of the IRS. So, I often do not have the opportunity to be at home much to check email. However, not to worry - free internet is right around the corner at QFC U Village.

The staff here was very rude. Not once did they say "Thank You" or "You're Welcome". Especially rude was the obese Asian girl who when I gave a tip didn't even bother to say thanks or offer even a smile. I would have taken the tip back if I could.

A little effort goes a long way. My advice to Tully's, teach your employees some respect and politeness.

I strongly doubt I will ever visit a Tullys ever again.

I'm not sure I have much to say about Tullys. Lately they've started carrying chocolate croisants. This simple confection has many rabid fans (me included), and Tullys is one of only two coffee companies I know of that carry them in Seattle (Starbucks recently ceased carrying them). I think Tullys has the best coffee of the big coffee companies, although the atmosphere lags a bit behind Starbucks.

PROS: good coffee for a corporate cafe and chocolate croisants
CONS: corporate and not as nice as Starbucks

This Tully's coffeeshop might be off the beaten path around the University Village area, but the people there are great and the service is wonderful! They will remember how you like your coffee after just a few visits, and are always so cheerful. The muffins are excellent, too. The only drawback is the small parking lot, but if you're already in the area, it's the best.

PROS: Stellar service
CONS: Small parking area - not their fault
