I received a 50% off coupon and decided to try out the salon. Abby cut my hair and I am absolutely happy with my new cut. She is amazing and I don't think I've had a cut before that maintained its style so well (even throughout the grow-out phase). I cannot say enough great things about Abby and the whole salon and would recommend it 100 percent. Great team and great atmosphere!!

I'll be honest. The only reason I went into the salon was because I had a 50% off coupon sent in the mail. However, I went in with OK expectations after reading a few reviews on-line. The colorist was AMAZING! She must have spent three hours making my hair exactly how I wanted it. Although the orange is slowly fading, she DEFINITELY warned me that it wouldn't be vibrant for long and she gave me advice on how to keep it lasting as long as it could. Oh, the price was amazing. 85 dollars for an all-over, and two rounds of foils. Some of the best results I've had in a salon.

The cut is GREAT! She did great with all of my backwards requests. I'm one of those, "keep the length, but at the same time shorten it up," type of people. But.... she did it. Another great price for the service.
The owners and receptionist were incredibly sweet too!

I happily booked my appointment and cannot wait to go back and try some more fun colors and cuts! I wanted something a little more edgy in the suburbs and I definitely found it. Even if you're looking for a classic cut - these girls know what they're doing there too! The four hours I was there, I definitely saw great haircuts all across the board.

ABBY ROCKS, SHE'S A GREAT STYLIST. THE PRICES ARE GETTING WAY UP THERE THOUGH FOR A SALON IN THE BURBS ... $55 FOR A HAIRCUT WHICH TAKES ALL BUT 20 MINUTES? AND WHAT'S THIS I HEAR ABOUT SHAMPOO MASSAGES? IVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR 2 YEARS AND IVE YET TO GET ANYTHING FOR MY MONEY BUT MY HAIR WASHED ... I CAN NOT RECALL MY COLORISTS NAME BUT SHE WAS AWESOME AS WELL. I LOVED THE COLOR SHE DID! NOTE TO SALON OWNER, KEEP THE PRICES LOWER AND YOU'LL GET MORE BUSINESS. MY FRIENDS AND I ARE TRUE BLEIEVERS. I'VE TRIED REFERRING FRIENDS THERE BUT THEY WON;T PAY THE HIGH PROCES SO YOU LOST SOME HEFTY BUSINESS, WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN 10+ CLIENTS!!!!

Your first haircut can take up to an hour...sometimes longer - but its worth it. Before even taking you to the shampoo bowl, the stylists crefully study your face shape, ask you questions about your lifesyle (activities, career, travel, etc.) to determine the best style for YOU. They also get a feel for your personality - almost as though to make sure your cut suits WHO you are as well. Cuts are not like those you see in the clipper magazines - each one is new & unique.
An average cut & color can run $150 - $170 but it is worth every penny. Book your repeat appointments while paying for your service so make sure you get the day/time you want...they book up weeks in advance.
NOTE: Salon used to be known as Shampoo Blu. Name change took place in 3/05 to reflect the names of co-owners/lead stylists Peter and Don.

PROS: Fabulous Euro style in the NW Suburbs
CONS:
